Kitchen, bedroom, and living room furniture

Ikea has got to be the best option for those on a tight budget but don't want to skimp on personal style. My dinette set did not come from the store's kitchen department, but rather from the home office section. I love that they offer a lot of diversity in terms of furniture use.
I am extremely satisfied with how my studio apartment looks. It is as eclectic and vibrant as my personality, thanks to Ikea.

Couch

We bought the ekeskog couch at ikea for an amazing deal at 700.00, which was well below the asking price (the couch slip cover was being discontinued) We love the couch! It is very roomy, extremely comfortable and we are very satisfied with it. The one draw back to this couch is we wanted to purchase a different couch cover later down the line, as we were not too keen on the natural linen look (not very dog and spill friendly!) One thing we did not take into consideration was the cost of the couch cover, which is $500. While we did get a great price on the couch because of the discontinued slip cover, we did not fully take into consideration the cost of replacing the slip cover. Word of advice, this couch is really worth the money but buy the slip cover you want right away!

bedroom furniture

We ordered our selected shelves, desks, etc. with two different colours. When we got them, we realized they came in same colour. Then we returned for exchange, after waiting for long time in line for customer service we got another one. When we got home, we realized some small parts were missing. It was quite a hassle!

Kitchen renovation

At 8 months pregnant with our second child, my husband and are "nesting". Building and installing over 23 linear feet of new cupboards, and countertops. I was thrilled with the price and quality of Ikea products, but not so much with their support. Unreturned phone calls to their help desk and loooong waits instore. Once we made the decision to install everything ourselves and made our purchase we really were on our own.

Most of the instructions are fairly self explanatory but for those that are not we are very fortunate that we are very much in love. 3/4s of the way through and we are still happily married!! The kitchen looks great so far and we cannot wait to be done and living in something that we built with our own hands. Satisfying.

lots of small items, rugs, shelves, curtains, towels

I stop at Ikea a few times a year and make a day of it. I love to get ideas from their pre-designed rooms, always eat in their cafeteria, and adore the clearance section. Not to mention the cinnamon buns and chocolates on the way out. They are the only way I can get my husband to accompany me!:) Ikea's European inspired piece's are unique and fresh. I consistently find things I need for my house. Overall, it is always an enjoyable and worthwhile day there.

Clips for plastic Bags

I make a trip to Ikea everytime I come to Vancouver from Kelowna. I find that they have the most innovative, creative ideas for everyday living. I often purchase products like cheese graters, bag clips etc. from them because nobody else has anything like it. The products also withstand the tests of time. Absolutely love IKEA!! The Coquitlam store even has great parking.

Home delivery

We bought a whole bedroom set that would of killed my husband and I to transfer into our car and bring it to our basement suite. The delivery men that worked for Ikea did an exceptional job such that they were very efficient and careful with all the furniture.

kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living room

Ikea gives lots of design ideas at low prices. Some of their stuff is really chinzy. The sales people aren't particularly knowledgable, available or friendly. Some of the higher end items are overpriced. The store is like a maze and easy to get lost.

Designed and bought kitchen cabinents

We were designing our first kitchen (from small closed to large open kitchen) and did not know what we needed to do first. There was 'help' and computers available after waiting for a lengthy period of time. When we finally got a computer, the system was not very user friendly and the help was not available. After struggling for about 30 mintues help finally arrived. The staff told us what we needed and kept adding more stuff on to our order. When our delievery finally arrived, we were surprised how much extra pieces we had once it was assembled. We were able to return the extras (about $800!) with no questions asked. Overall we are very happy with our kitchen and would use Ikea again, just not counting on help.
