Absolutely THE WORST shopping experience at HD Baseline. I normally shop at the Kanata location, and love it there. This time, I thought I would stop at the Baseline location on the way home from work. I was buying some supplies for a client. Easy, right? Wrong! I couldn't find anyone in the paint section to "shake" my paint cans. Then, I get everything I need and get to the cash. I pay with my Amex. Well, their printer is not working. They ask me if I need a receipt. Uh, yes. I need to get reimbursed. They tell me it will take 10-15 minutes for machine to reboot. I ask if they can just return the materials and resell them to me. "Oh yeah, sure..let's go to the Customer Service desk at the other end of store". We go there and their system hasn't "caught up" so they can't find my order, even though they full-well know I just purchased it. They call a manager, they look in their system, still can't find it. They assume the transaction never took place. I tell them that yes, it did because I put my PIN in the machine and got an "approved" message. They don't believe me. I have to call AMEX and confirm that the charge went through my card. At this point (40 mins later) they tell me "ok, just go". HELLO!?!?! I NEED A RECEIPT. Finally, they realize that yes, they can return the stuff and sell it to me again. I get to leave with my purchases and receipt only 50 minutes later, and no apology. Disgusting!
