Weve used HDD on two other occasions while living in Durham Region so when we moved to Simcoe County, we didnt hesitate to contact HDD Barrie to build our new deck as we new the quality would be impeccable. Arturo and his team did not disappoint! They were professional, polite, pleasant, arrived on time each day and cleaned up after themselves before quitting for the day.
The deck is beautiful and is better than we could have imagined.

Virgil and I are very happy with our deck. Ryan was very professional advised us best way to built the deck and what type material he was going to install.

It's hard to trust contractors these days but after seeking several quotes to replace our deck, Arturo provided the most professional quote, very detailed and with a reasonable bottom line plus he was very knowledgeable about products and gave us good advice. Others either didn't respond to our request for a quote or provided a number with little to no details. Arturo's team started work when they said they would, they completed the job on time and at the expected cost. He kept in touch throughout the project and now we have a wonderful new deck to enjoy. Adams team painstakingly removed our old broken flagstone front porch from the early 90s and build us a beautiful new 170sqft porch with Azek PVC decking, as well as replacing our 10x4 2nd floor back balcony in same material. Our front porch is now clean and fresh and inviting! Adams team were professional and tidy, and we are pleased with their work. Working with Adam from start to finish was a great experience, he is a great guy, honest and fair pricing, and takes pride in the workmanship that his team provides. Needed to build a small deck to make an unusable back yard into a fully functioning extension to the home. Contacted Hickory Dickory Decks and met Geoff who came over and provided a detailed quote and timeline. We discussed all the options available for my price range and it was obvious that Geoff is is very knowledgable in his craft.
Rob was the deck builder and did a spectacular job. In and out in three days and left us with a beautiful product with no mess and no trace of any contractors being on site.

I hired Hickory Dickory Deck to replace my existing back deck and privacy fence. John was wonderful to deal with and he showed me composite samples and provided design suggestions. He also showed me samples of deck railings and incorporated a gate as I requested.
John went out of his way and responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. Despite the heat of this summer, John and his crew worked hard to complete the project.

Our experience working with Bob, Art and Matteo was great! We were introduced to Bob through our friends and from our initial meeting until the finished project he was genuine, responsive and friendly. Bob spent a couple hours with us walking through the Hickory Dickory Decks outdoor showroom and was very patient when we asked question after question on options available.
The project started on schedule, and we met Art and Matteo the two trusted deck builders! Art certainly impressed us by showcasing his knowledge and experience of deck building. What we appreciated most about Art was his can do attitude when we consulted over the detailed work that we were anticipating. Arts commitment to customer service was refreshing! He took the time to discuss details during each stage of the project, ensuring that the final look would be just what we envisioned. I would say we challenged Art and Matteo from their comfort zones, and they responded by thinking through all the details and coming up with a plan to get the project completed as we wanted. Great job Art! Matteo was Arts trusted protégé - always on time, always kept the area tidy and genuinely interested in learning and listening.
Our two-level deck included bench seating and a privacy wall with horizontal louvers. We had very particular looks that we were expecting and Art and Matt worked meticulously to ensure every detail we wanted was reflected in the bench seating and privacy wall. Not only were we very pleased with the final deck we really enjoyed talking with Art and Matt. Our neighbours were complimentary of the deck and the professionalism exhibited by Art and Matt. We also appreciated that Bob remained part of the project from beginning to end by dropping in occasionally to check on the progress of the build and ensure that Art and Matteo had the tools and material they needed in a timely manner. Needless to say, we highly recommend the team!
