I am a business owner in the we send of the city, our showroom need a complete over hall. It had not been changed since the early fifties. I met Thom through another big job for one of my clients whom is a big automobile dealer with several location in the city.

We contracted Thom to do a renovation of our mom's 1950's home. Thom guided us when it came time to making decisions on how to get the most bang for our buck and where to spend or save. His attention to detail and good relationships with his trades were evident in the end result. The main floor of the house was completely transformed and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of the work. Thom was always available to answer questions and to trouble shoot any issues that came up. He really knows his stuff and was very easy too work with. Thom went over and above to ensure that the work was completed in a professional and timely manner. As we were not available to be on-site, we felt confident
that he was acting on our best interests when on the spot decisions needed to be made. Thom continually earned our trust. While we did spend more than our original budget, that was due to our decision to do more work than originally planned. Overall, we found Thom to be very reasonable with his fees and honest in his accounting. This has not been our experience with other renovations. We decided to move in July, we engaged an interior design firm Chapi Chapo as well as Group5 and Thom Hirtz to build us a brand new 9000sf facility. We were under an insane deadline as we had tenants taking over our space as of December 1st.
As a team of the 3 we designed and produced a set of plans and started work October 1st. The process was one of the most interesting projects I have been involved in in 33 years of construction. Normally I am the consultant, but this time I was the client. We were able to complete the almost impossible task of building a 5 month build of displays and warehouse in 60 days. Thom and his Crew along with some of the very dedicated crew of clients I know worked nights and weekends to make it happen. I cannot express the gratitude for a build that was done as a cooperative effort with trades "happy" to come to work and build the "impossible". Thom's guidance and coordination as well as an amazingly flexible and quick design team allowed us to complete the job on time and on budget, with almost no errors. His way of coordination and getting trades that discuss difficult tasks as a team, made this and incredible experience. I want to build like this again, just next time with a little more time...

Thom did a 30 x 20 two story addition to my North Toronto Home. His work was professional and meticulous. He went beyond our expectations continually. The sub contractors he provided were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any project.

20 years in the making I finally plunged into my kitchen renovation. Thom was a miracle worker as the house is quite old and crooked. His people were lovely and kind. It was a pleasure to come home every night and see the progress as my kitchen went from old to rejuvenated. The finish product is pure bliss. as some reviewers say, thom talks a great game. his execution is another matter. unfinished store details that were a part of the plans, unagreed upon short cuts by his contracted subtrades that have caused problems requiring additional expenditures after the construction was supposedly completed, a statutory declaration signed by him that is supposed to certify that all of his contracted trades for the job were paid (some were not).....i could go on. it is my personal belief that he cannot be trusted.
