Purchased a Dana tea cabinet online. $1200 bucks.
Took a long time (months) to get it.
It arrived very well packed, and in good condition.
Stored it for three months till kitchen was ready for it.
No mounting instructions or hardware included.
Mounted piece on a solid oak 1x3 gluded and deck screwed to studs in the wall. Within 1 week, the top left shelf came apart from the support sides, causing two expensive ceramic trays to crash to the floor. Other side is now seperating as well.
Using paint cans and magazine to support the unit.
Contacted Dale, (owner/manager?) got a prompt reply letting us know that they would stand behind the warranty on the pieces they sell.
this cabinet had never seen the hand of a Japanese craftsmen.
It was put together with undersize brads like a cheap kitchen cabinet. Not a drop of glue can be seen.
We have not heard a word back after a couple of calls.
$1200 dollars for a piece of Target looking junk.
The bigger insult is the lack of communication from them.
If it were my customer, at that price range, i would be sending a post a couple of times a week to assure my customer that a solution is being worked on. My wife is going to send one more post. Then i will be forced to lean on them.
I have the time, and the resources, to take it as far as they are willing go.
