I was looking for a new sofa and decided I would see if Ginger Jar had what I wanted.I did find something very suitable and it was on clearance so I bought it and picked it up the same day and tried to get it into my place however the hallway was not wide enough to get it into my place.I called Ginger Jar to see if they might be able to help me get the sofa since I bought it there and they are a higher end store I thought they might even offer to cover the cost of $75 to have their movers to get it in to my place to begin to enjoy my new sofa.I was told several times by Melina manager/owner that it was a final sale and that was that.I had no intention of bringing it back or even asking them to return it,I just wanted to get it into my place to use it.I was sent an email from Melina which read exactly word for word "We suggest,if you cannot move it in,to perhaps see if a family member can use?Otherwise,perhaps a consignment store can help you?I am now thinking how can a consignment store help me to get this resolved when Ginger Jar sold me this in the first place.WOW!Now of course after this whole debacle and speaking to quite a few other people and reading their reviews from other people I can sure see why people are rolling their eye's when I mention this business in the community.Now I am not talking about a few disgruntled customers,I am literally shocked about all the negative comments such as stay away from that store,never again,arrogant attitude,lacks customer service.believe me that if you are looking for value and customer service keep walking by the front door,if you want to be treated like you have no value then go inside and roll the dice.I can tell you that if you are looking for a place to buy good quality furnishings and get treated with the respect you deserve then have a look around as you do not want to end up making the grave mistake i have made by choosing this company to give your hard earned cash to.Oh and another thing to know is that if you have an issue, your words will fall on deaf ears if you have to personally deal with Melina to resolve your concern as there is not much in the line of customer service skills there.I hope this review helps.
