Floors Direct West

So dealing with this company was good, but not great. Ed was very accommodating but in a way that he just wanted to make a sale, which is expected from anyone who is selling you something so it is not a jab at Ed, he was just doing his job. None the less he is very knowledgeable and did try to find me the best deal for the hardwood that I wanted.

The issue came when I was given their "most experienced" crew. Naming names is not important and really irrelevant so I will not do that. The crew worked fast and was very nice, but the there were so many things that were not done and now I am feeling the effects of them:

1) They never checked to see if the floors were level before laying the floor. So now there are spots on the floor that squeak between the doors of a couple of the rooms and it feels like the plank is dipping when you step on it.
2) The removed and replaced the banister and did a horrific job, they drilled to many holes for the poles and then patched it up so terribly, the ruined my post because they did not know that there were screws holding the rail to the post and tried to cut it with a flat saw.
3) We chose inset vent covers and they are all wobbly because they could not take the time to make sure they were flat.
4) After bringing up the issues the contractor was not willing to admit his mistakes and said that he was not a railing expert and should not have done the railing. If you don't have that expertise why are you laying floors? 100% of the time if there is a railing you would have to remove it and redo the nosing.

So after a lot of back and forth I was refunded $300 for the work and now to fix this railing snafu will cost me way more.

I would not recommend go to them for installation and you might as well not buy wood from them either.

Josie was accommodating for us, more than we expected. We had three separate visits to ensure we were making the right purchase. They even stayed open late so we could pick up samples.

They were able to help us meet our budget and even came in for installation no Mothers Day to accommodate us moving into our new home.

Will be working with them again when we are ready to install hardwood on the main level,.

Floors Direct West Mississauga surely rocks!! They did excellent with my flooring. Their installer Frank is excellent with his work. These are real professionals. I recommend them to any one.

I recently visited Floors Direct to purchase hardwood flooring for my retired parents. Having had hardwood and laminate installed in 2 of my homes in the past I was confident that they would provide the same great service and value to my extended family. Right from the start Josie and Ed were fantastic in taking the time to walk my parents through choosing and installing the right hardware for their budget and needs. They worked within their budget to get the most value without sacrificing quality. They were very good on pricing and arranging to get the hardwood for their main floor and laminate in their basement. We were very impressed with the selection and service we received. My parents immediately felt very comfortable with the no pressure sales experience. The installers did an excellent job and any concerns or questions we had were answered by Josie and Ed. As with my other installs the job turned our beautiful and my parents now want to get new ceramics in their kitchen which Floors Direct sells also. This place is great, better prices and better service than one of the big box stores. The real great part is the personal service and friendly people! I've used them 3 times now so I can highly recommended Floors Direct.

I got 3 quotes. Rob was not the cheapest but pretty close but because my neighbor had good service I went with them. While the installers were very late in arriving at 15h00 instead of 09h00 they finished the job in good time and did an excellent job. There were 2 installers that knew what they were doing and worked independently of one another. One did the living and dining room and the other the lounge.

First time buyers of flooring for our home, my wife and I didn't really know where to start. Our basement flooded and ruined the laminate flooring installed before we bought the house. 1600 square feet needed to be replaced.

Josie was very helpful in finding the same look and in working within our budget. We were blown away by the installation crew who did an exquisite job for a every affordable rate. Talk to Rob the manager, he was great at accomodating us and setting up our installation ASAP.

They were able to give us a better price than any other store while actually answering our questions instead of giving us the runaround like some other stores. Highly recommended!

I purchased 1000 sqft of floors from Bob and what a waste of 7k! The installers were careless and installed damaged planks with splits in the ends, and damaged my fireplace. I wouldn't recommend anything from this company. I will need to refinish the entire 1000sqft to properly fix my floors, not much fun with two kids under the age of two!
There are lots of flooring companies out there; don't buy from floors direct.

I purchased around 900 sqft of hardwood flooring from Floors Direct and had them install it in all of my bedrooms in my home which matches the rest of the hardwood in the home. Bob, who runs the store, is extremely knowledgable and gave me an excellent price on the flooring. The installation price was reasonable. There are other installers with cheaper rates but you have to be cautious. These installers were excellent with no complaints.
