Upgrade of furniture over the last 15 yrs

I ve have a client of Elizabeth interiors since 1999. I have always loved going to brouse and end up going home with eclectic pieces and very satisfied. Ive shopped Toronto (Elte and Barbara Barry, rochebobois, plus others) and Montreal and saw same stuff but Eizabeth is less expensive.

My philip stark ghost chair was cheaper at Elizabeth than in TO.

In 2004, i bought a mirror dresser that the delivery boys damaged when they assembled the drawer handle, without me asking Elizabeth got me a replacement in a flash.

Cindy seems to know my style better than me.

In 2006 i forgot my credit card there and they drove (20k) to drop it at my house.

I brought family and freinds and they all like the store. The staff very patient and not pushy.

Good at Sales, Poor at Customer Service

Our experience with Elizabeth Interiors was extremely disappointing. Our initial consultation with their designers took months to schedule partly because they insisted that both their designers must be present. When we arrived both were present but one had to go to a meeting therefore we only had one designer presenting. After the consultation, we bought 8 very expensive dining room chairs (that were meant for every day use), 2 large chairs and a sofa. When we received the dining chairs and sofa, some of the dining chairs were chipped and the sofa was defective. The legs of the dining chairs were fixed in a timely manner but it took 2 additional months to replace the sofa cover and pillows.

We also asked them on multiple occasions on how to clean the dining chairs. Their designers had come to our home. They knew that we had a young child and another one on the way. They also knew that the chairs would be used every day since the dining area is the only place for us to eat. For this reason, we needed chairs with fabric that was not going to stain easily on a daily basis. When asked, they were unable to tell us what the fabric was on the chairs. It took 2 months for us to get an answer from them; this is only after I told them that I would be contacting their supplier for an answer. The response we received was unsatisfactory so we asked them to return the high maintenance chairs they sold us. Instead they insisted on paying for the cleaning of the chairs. The cleaners they recommended told us that the chairs had sensitive fabric and need to be protected for every day use. In our opinion, we didn’t feel we should pay for the protection. We never wanted chairs that would require a lot of work and money to maintain. They paid for the cleaning but they refused to pay for the protection or take the chairs back. After all the items we bought from them and all the problems we endured with their furniture, you would think they would have had the courtesy to take care of the ‘protection’, especially since they were unable to tell us how to clean them.

I’d like to confirm the review written below from another customer. We received very attentive service when they wanted us to purchase their furniture. We received calls from them on a regular basis to purchase their furniture. However, as soon as we paid for the furniture (including the defective pieces), we were the ones who had to consistently contact them to get an update on replacing our furniture. After months of waiting for our sofa, we were also expected to accommodate the dates best for their delivery service (when they are in the area) as opposed to them accommodating our time away from work for the exchange of defective merchandise.

Needless to say, we wont be purchasing anything from Elizabeth Interiors again or referring them to any of our friends or family.

Decorating with Elizabeth Interiors

Hired a designer from Elizabeth Interiors who helped with the initial design/decoration of our new house. I also bought accessories/wall paper and some furniture from them. The service and ideas were excellent. I would highly recommend Elizabeth Interiors for their professionalism and design ideas

Furniture for house and cottage

I have purchased furniture from Elizabeth Interiors many times over the years. Currently we are dealing with Pamela, who is wonderful. Elizabeth always is happy to give design opinions -- both are very creative. I always find the staff are prompt to respond and always try to help when they can. I am genuinely surprised by the negative comments on this site...i think you get what you give...

Home Accessories

We were looking for some traditional furniture and accessories for our new home so we started with Elizabeth Interiors because I kept passing by the store for years and never went in. While their furniture was nice, we found many of the accessories lacking in quality (cheap materials). We did end up purchasing a large wall-mounted clock, but when we asked about the return policy, we were told that we have 2 days...which I found kind of weird. Not sure if we'll be going back because I noticed that other stores carry the same things for fraction of the price.

Bedside tables

We had previously purchased several thousands of dollars of living room furniture from them and were quite satisfied. However, this time our experience was awful. Biilling errors were made from the beginning. When we came to pick up our furniture it was wrapped like produce in a grocery store. This not being acceptable, they said they would put it into old boxes. The situation greatly deteriorated when the owner became aggressive and insulting. Presently we are awaiting a refund. We will never shop at this store again. Unbelievably poor service. Rude, aggressive and tacky.

Customer Service

Last year I purchased two very expensive dining arm chairs from Elizabeth Interiors. I was pleased with the style and was expecting a high quality chair considering the cost. Approximately 2 weeks ago one chair was accidently tipped over and the top rail shattered. I of course called Elizabeth Interiors for guidance. I spoke with Elizabeth herself who asked for a picture of the damage. After waiting almost 2 weeks for a reply I called again. I was told they did receive my email. I asked what I could do to have the chair repaired ... I received very little help and a good deal of attitude.

Elizabeth Interiors does carry a great selection of furniture and they are very friendly when you are purchasing their products ... however I found them unhelpful once the sale was made. I will not be making any further purchases at Elizabeth Interiors.
