El Cheapo Movers Ltd.

I've used El Cheapo for the many moves I've had over the years and have always loved them. This last move was my most difficult, and I didn't hesitate to call this long-time trusted moving company. I was sorely disappointed. Not only did all I hear throughout the day were complaints - along with how "they aren't paid enough to do this" - but many of my things were damaged, broken, and scratched up. Getting set up in the aftermath has been like the anti-Easter... I keep finding little gifts they left all over my furniture and beloved belongings - only it's damage in varying degrees. I wish the guys had told me when things happened, I'd have taken it better than finding all the little surprises as we go. This, in combination with the new $10 flat fee for the wrapping (plastic wrap and plastic mattress bags)... what on earth am I paying for? Nearly nothing was wrapped. The mattress cushion that went with my daybed wasn't bagged, so it's covered in dust, dirt, and grime. Metal closet shelving that we had left in our home leaning against the wall that they weren't even moving has somehow also come out completely warped - like someone stepped on them. I don't think I'll be back. What a shame - after over 8 years being an exclusive El Cheapo advocate and customer.
