Our basement bathroom started leaking so we figured it was a sewer back up. I called DrainWorks due to the great reviews on HomeStars and was not dissapointed! My technician Lou was prompt (wow) and courteous. He took the time to explain what was happening and what needed to be done. Great service.

I would use Drain works again..They were punctual, and they gave the exact price to snake the drain. Nothing was added after the job was done.The repair person stayed with the job until it was cleared, the repair person cleaned up and left the bathtub clean. The repair person was excellent. I would recommend this company to my family to use.

I called DrainWorks and they were able to have a plumber come out the same day.

Philip was extremely personable and even funny and had the laundry taps completely replaced in no more than an hour and a half.

I was super impressed by how quickly they were able to send someone even though my job was not an emergency.

My wife and I recently moved into a beautifully renovated 100 year old semi in the heart of Leslieville. While the inspection report noted significant upgrades to the waste piping, within 3 weeks my sewer system backwashed (thankfully it was only laundry machine water).

The original company I called rushed to the scene and cleared the immediate problem. Scoping the system they noted severe tree root penetration in the clay pipe. Maybe it was the number of times he referred to me as "buddy" or maybe it was the way he easily pulled $6,000 out of thin air to rectify the issue, but something told me to get a second opinion.

The next day I logged onto Homestars and came across Drainworks Plumbing. Recognizing the trademark vans around town, I scrolled through the endless sea of positive reviews. I picked up the phone and made the call. The gentlemen that answered the phone was extremely pleasant and dispatched a member of their team that day. Mike showed up a few hours later and informed me that he'd have to re-scope the pipe as the other company conveniently neglected to write down any sort of diagnosis. While I didn't really enjoy paying for the service again, I felt like I was in good hands from the start. Confirming the extent of the issue, Mike provided a much better quote and was patient enough to listen to my endless series of questions, all of which he answered perfectly.

The crew showed up as scheduled and began their work. Digging the hole by hand, they reached the trouble spot and replaced the line with 4" PVC SDR pipe. Battling through loose sandy soil, ground water and 2 hole collapses, the crew carried on with a degree of professionalism that is rarely seen these days. There was no complaining or passing comments of "oh this is gonna cost you more." Concerned with all the rain we've been having, the crew backfilled the hole that day, replaced my temporary pavers and re-attached the stairs leading to my front porch. Had you not seen the monsterous hole earlier that day you'd never have known they were there. To Walter and crew, thank you so very much for all of your hard work, you guys definetly went the extra mile and beyond!

The next day Mike returned to re-scope the system. Walking me through it step-by-step, Mike confirmed that everything was "perfect," giving me back that piece of mind that I so desperately needed. When we settled up, the price was what he quoted me for, no surprises. I would highly recommend Drainworks to anyone in need of plumbing/drainage services. I had a backed up sewage pipe. The first company I called didn't even lift the top of the drain - this was a supposedly reputable one with a full page ad in the yellow pages and numerous "best of" awards! The man said he didn't even have to look at it, it was definitely my trap or near it based on the strength of the odour (yes, he really said that!). He said I had an old clay trap and for certain it was broken somewhere close, and scoping or snaking would be a waste of money. He said he would have to break up the floor and replace the trap and up to 5 feet and then he could see whether any further work was required to clear the problem. He could have a crew in the next morning with a deposit.

I was skeptical that someone could know for sure with no inspection whatsoever so I found another company to call. I am glad I did because not only was the first company wrong, but it would have cost me far more money to fix in the end.

I called Drainworks and they sent someone out. After a snake pulled out a piece of cloth, Matt was able to pinpoint the problem with the scope. There was a cracked pipe with a triangular section sticking in about 1.5 inches. - but it was 38ft away and nowhere near the trap and everything but the cracked section was in great shape!

Matt was knowledgeable, happy to explain everything in detail, described several possible scenarios, and happily answered all my questions. He was professional, thorough and courteous.

I now know the pipe will have to be repaired but at least I know for sure where the problem is and have visual confirmation. I did not pay a sketchy company a fortune to dig first and look later, and I can do the repair on my own terms.

We required a fair bit of messy work to be done (both in the house and in the garage) in terms of finding the source of an underground drainage block. The professional crew found the problem, did the necessary work quickly (which included extensive digging down under), demonstrated their workmanship via pipe/camera viewed on a portable TV, and then cleaned up replacing everything back to it's original condition. I never even lifted a broom. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, however, it is not inexpensive work to be done and that part was a bit unpleasant.

I was experiencing overflow/backup of my laundry room drainage pipe and overflow in the downstairs shower drain. Drainworks was able to arrive within 3 hours of my call and snake the mainstack and then determine and clear a very diffifcult access to both areas which were clogged with root systems. The work was excellent, technican was very knowledgable and he corrected the situation within the estimated period of time. Excellent work. You get what you pay for which is why I went with Drainworks who do the job right..

We had water coming into our basement thru the floor drain. It turned out that tree roots had broken the sewage drain under the lawn in front of the house. The DrainWorks team provided candid, efficient, and thorough work during the entire repair process. They took care to explain the what was to be done, showed us the progress, and they stood behind the work with a lifetime guarantee.

Our floor drains in our basement were backing up everytime we did Laundry. The problem was with our outside trap (an older unnecessary system). We had Drainworks come out a remove the old system and put in a straight pipe with two access points for easy future snaking to the road or into the house. Even though they had a dig down for the pipe replacement, everything was restored to almost the way it was before the came to dig. You could hardly tell they were there!

They also let me know I had a pipe from the trap to the road that was full of tree branches. Initially, this was going to be an extra cost to replace that pipe, but Drainworks did extra work to determine where the property line was likely to be and let me know that the issue was on city pipes and would be the responsibility of the city - saving me money.

Drainworks could have easily charged me additional money to replace this pipe but showed they were really on my side. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Not having the field guys on commission is the right way to go. You can belive that what they tell you is in your best interest!!
