Drain Works Plumbing

Water flooded my basement and the kind at people at Drainworks fixed the flooding problem and were very nice to me and treated me well. I would recommend them to anyone who had the same problem I did

Saturday night is not the time you really want to find your basement floor drains backing up (not that you ever do, really, but Saturday night is definitely not the time). Regardless, the dispatcher was friendly and professional and Matt arrived at our house well within the scheduled time. He was fast, efficient, and able to solve the problem with just the camera, preventing the need for more work. We've used them before and we'll definitely use them again!

We called DrainWorks to help us solve a reoccurring sewage smell in our basement. They came the same day, identified the problem and outlined our options and the cost for each one.
Lou was very patient answering our many questions and pointing out the various pipes once the digging had started.
We rescheduled the work by one day to avoid having an obstacle course for trick or treaters. This was no problem. The workers who came out over the two days we had the work done were very diligent and made sure to clean up the site when they were done each day.
We are very happy with the work that was done and would recommend DrainWorks to others who are in need of a plumber.

I had a drain service call today. Lou from drainworks visited and did a terrific job. He was friendly, thorough and effective in clearing the upstairs bathroom sink of a clog located about 15 feet into the pipe! The pricing was within the range originally quoted on the phone while setting up the appointment. I hihgly recommend DrainWorks highly.

Prior to having a new water meter installed by the city of Toronto, we had to replace the old iron pipes coming in from the city line. DrainWorks gave us an exact quote, and were professional in every way,explaining exactly the work that had to be done and how we should prepare the area ( and also saying that they could move anything that we found too heavy). They arrived exactly at the prearranged time, and protected our home with drop cloths, plastic curtains, and 'booties' to protect our carpet from wet shoes. Although the weather was rainy, nothing in our home was left dirty. They cleaned up everthing before leaving. We would have no hesitation in recommending DrainWorks to anyone.

My basement shower was backing up. I rented a snake and cleared it, but it backed up the next day. I was concerned the pipes were installed wrong by the original homeowner. The Drainworks technicion explained the pricing menu to me and I opted for the camera inspection, followed by snaking if necessary. He removed the toilet (and replaced it with no mess) and did the inspection. The camera probe was enough to clear the blockage (at 10 feet). He inspected the rest of the pipe, right out to the street and determined that the pipe narrowed at the 10-foot mark going from plastic, to clay to plastic, but did not have to be replaced. The snaking was not necessary and I did not have to pay for it. The technicion was informative, polite and explained things well.

kitchen drain was plugged. I tried a few of the usual things, but no luck.
Drainworks guy arrived on time, fixed the blockage and gave some good advice. He also fixed another unrelated issue that he noticed at the same time!

I had a backup and the camera showed significant damage to the drain at a spot right underneath the edge of a 2-year old driveway. Armando was a big help in diagnosing the problem and showing/explaining as much as possible to me.

Walter and his crew came out to excavate and repair the problem and they were extremely professional, considerate and careful. Because the excavation had to take place half on my neighbour's lawn, half on my driveway, I was very concerned that the excavation be done with as little inconvenience to the neighbour as possible.

The hole was really about as small as it could possibly be and still leave room to repair the pipe. The excavated material was carefully contained on top of a tarp and the crew showed me the problem once they got to it, as well as the repaired drain pipe, and the new cleanouts. Once the drain was fully repaired, the material was replaced with care (good crushed stone base, soil compacted with a 'jumping jack' to minimize subsequent settling). The cleanouts were levelled at exactly the right height, with stone where the small section of driveway used to be, and topsoil over the lawn part. Even the stone edging was replaced with care. Walter even insisted on washing down the driveway of any little patches of tracked dirt so that literally the only thing you could see was the excavation spot. Armando came back to do a final camera inspection to show the drain from one end of my house right to the city sewer.

When my neighbour got home, he was amazed by how small the impact to his lawn was, how clean a job they did, and how nicely they had left the soil. He pretty much insisted I write a review.

Although I hope this is the last time I ever need any drain services, I wouldn't consider calling anyone but Drainworks in the future.

We had water coming up from the drain in the shower and underneath the toilet. We called Drain Works, the service man arrived within 2 hours and fixed the problem. We are very satisfied with the work.
