We moved into a new home, and a month in our garage spring snapped in half. After fighting with a broken spring at our old home for two years and trying to fix it ourselves, we decided just to call someone and have this one fixed. The lady on the phone was very helpful in explaining the cost of the service as well as answering my questions about the other services they provided (weatherstripping and replacing doors).
We were able to have someone out to fix the door within a day of calling, and they were very efficient and polite. They were able to fix the issue and provide me information to answer my questions about longevity and reliability of the part they installed, as well as making recommendations as to whether or not we needed the doors replaced right now.
I would absolutely recommend Dodd's for garage door service.

From sales to installation very professional all around. Had to wait longer because of covid but worth it. Mike in sales was a pleasure to deal with and install man was pleasant Job done in less than 4 hours

Spring on garage door broke late one evening. Called Dodds next morning and by early afternoon my door was repaired. Very efficient service at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

I am a tradesman and this guy they sent was absolutely incredible, I would recommend this company to anyone, so professional and stayed on a Sunday until the job was done, also the salesman that showed up on a Saturday and took his time to answer all questions was excellent, thank you Dodd’s doors it’s refreshing to deal with such a professional company

Update: Dodds did the follow up, and the job is completed very quickly. Everyone in the company is polite and the workmanship and product is great. I am happy with the end result.

After researching online and neighbor recommendation, we finally decided to go for Dodds for our garage door. Order placed on May for the garage door installation and metal capping for the exterior frame. The garage door was installed two month after and it look beautiful, HOWEVER, from then the capping was NEVER finished. I have been waiting for FOUR months already. No matter how many times I called and email, no one come to finish the job. They keep telling due to the pandemic, they were very behind, I do understand it and was being patient, But then it had been half a year since I placed my order.

Double car door, insulated, broke a spring on 1 side.
Technician arrived, with the training, tools, parts and worked effectively to not just replace the broken spring but also ensure the entire assembly was corrected (2 springs), balanced and functioning smoothly.

We replaced 3 garage doors. Dodd’s provided excellent assistance in choosing the best options for us and the installation was extremely professional. The new doors looks great and are of very high quality. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the project and would highly recommend Dodd’s.

Broken garage door; we felt it was the one cable coming off the spool as it was wrapping incorrectly. Called to get a quote and explained issue - was told min 1.5hrs for labour plus parts. Labour for 1.5hrs is $135 plus tax. It turned out to be the spring - so that got replaced. Company then claims its a flat fee service to change a spring - despite taking less than an hr to repair the bill comes to about $350 yet company won't break down labour and part pricing. So basically this company is claiming springs cost about $180 - I doubt it.
Company needs to be more transparent and not price gauge its customers. Would never recommend Dodds - they can't justify their price and the phone person seems to not care. They get a one since the tech did get the door working. He did his job - but company is another story; I wonder if others have been charged this fee to replace a spring.
