Direct Buy Of Mississauga

We have saved well over $20 000 on numerous items for our houses. We made back our initial membership cost very quickly. There is a broad selection of name brand, high quality items. We saved $6,000 on new hardwood floors and $12,000 on new vinyl windows as examples.
The staff are always welcoming, professional and informative. Staff have particular specialties and are very knowledgeable in specific areas; e.g. Windows, Window Coverings, Electronics, Hot Tubs.
Our membership was one of our better decisions!

We completely regret spending thousands for a Direct Buy membership. I doubt we'll ever come close to recouping the membership fees.
On top of that, our Kingston location closed abruptly with absolutely no warning. Rumours are still swirling about people being conned and swindled, and the owners moving everything to a nearby moving company's warehouse then skipping out on their lease, never returning for the merchandise.
Frank's Moving is now where orders are shipped, and you have to go pick them up there.
There is no showroom, no samples or fabrics to see for actual colours or quality. How do you choose these things accurately on-line. It's ridiculous, and NOT at all what we purchased.
I would LOVE my money back.

The only reason we purchased a Direct Buy membership ($6000 plus tax) was because we were building a house. After trying to use the membership as much as possible in attempt to make it worth while, we've barely recovered the membership cost after spending an enormous amount of money there. The hassle of dealing with the Coquitlam showroom and building on Vancouver Island was enough of a reason not to recommend Direct Buy unless you're building or renovating multiple homes in the direct vicinity of the lower mainland location. Many items you can find at the same cost or cheaper at local stores. The sales pitch was extremely high pressure and uses the absolute best case scenario for every comparison. Don't waste your time.

I would recommend joining Direct Buy if you are planning to renovate or build a new home or need to furnish extensively over the next 3-5 years. I joined many years ago when the and we have covered the membership cost through discounts in furniture, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and some electronics. Some products are similar priced than retail stores, so you have to be careful thinking everything is less expensive through the club -- its not... also, some manufacturers join the club and offer savings, while others do fall off the list and you can no longer purchase through the club or only a certain line of goods is available, so keep this in mind.

We joined Direct Buy in January of this year and regret spending the $5000, I did not like their strongarm approach, normally I would walk away from something like that in this case we were renovating our home and we felt the savings would be good, so we made the investment. To date we still have not made a single purchase there. I agree their prices on appliances & furniture are very good, I find plumbing fixtures, electronics, hot tubs, flooring and lighting which we have looked at all to be higher than what we can purchase elsewhere for. We purchased 700 FT of porcelain tile, a custom bathroom vanity, and outfitted an entire new bathroom, replaced approx 1000 FT of baseboard and casing, and replaced a 700 Square Foot deck so far. None of these products were cheaper at Direct Buy, and were purchased elsewhere. I am hoping we can recoup our investment through appliances and furniture purchases there. I would not recommend joining Direct Buy, it took us 4 months to pay for the membership, and regret doing it every day. Hope this helps.

,i trust them next day i brought check payed thats 26 april.after i paid one week later i find out at the back of them store is the wear house the rest of my dinning set are there i found the table had falled and broken paint and mirror cracked

Hello Guys. DON'T BUY DIRECT BUY member.It’s horrible they change us shipping and handling to every purchase. However, the delivery is to club only. If you don’t pick up your items in 3 days they change you $25 for every item every day. Don’t forget that membership cost you very large penny already.
I don't know how to warn you any more. JUST DON'T BUY IT.

I bought a table was told the table was damaged but no problem it would be fixed so i agreed 2 months later no table and was told a bunch of stories to what happened to the table called office and spoke to what i was told was office manager Dianne well let me tell you how rude this woman is first she just added to the story then i told her that i dont have a table that i paid for 4 months ago so i want my money back and she replies well i doubt that will happen really terrible costumer service for sure .I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS DIRECT BUY ON SLADEVIEW EVER AGAIN

We buckled under their pressure tactics and paid the $3500 membership fee. We felt at the time, we eventually would be able to recuperate the amount, through the heavily advertised "SAVINGS". Six years in, $1200 more in yearly fees, and still we haven't saved enough to break even. Items on ebay (appliances, electronics..etc) are far and away, better priced than this catalogue store. To add insult to injury, the owners and the staff are exceptionally rude and snobbish. The catalogues are poorly updated. The orders are frequently bungled. The staff are incompetent and slow. Don't expect to bring children to this place. The secretary Diane made a point to run 15 yards to grab and shout at my 5 year old child had taken 3 little coffee milks in her hands. I want a full refund from this place after all the misery they have put me and my family through. P.s. Don't expect the owners to sympathize. They are only concerned about their OPEN HOUSES to rake in more $$$$$$.
