Purchased many items for home, baby and personal uses
We've been members of direct buy for several years and have saved loads of money. Major purchases include appliances, electronics, furniture and personal items & gifts. We re-cooped our fee for joining with the first appliances we purchased. It's NOT a ! It really is the 'real deal' you just need to be prepared to research and visit the center to look through catalogues. It takes a little getting used to but once you've gotten the hang of it, you're pretty much set. We've saved anywhere from 30%-50% on new appliances, over 50% on furniture and lighting, 50% of baby items (nursery, stroller, highchair etc.) and have even purchased jewelery, high-end designer hand bags & sunglasses at half the price of retail. I've never had a retailer come close to matching the price on appliances or electronics. We really do buy things at wholesale cost. Yes, there are sometimes handling fees and customs/duty charges if items are shipped out of the USA but even with some of the extra costs it is still a much better deal then we'd ever have found elsewhere. I would especially recommend Direct Buy membership to first-time homeowners and new parents. You'll re-coop your $$ in no time! And, if you're like us, you'll get fabulous high0end things for the price you'd pay for the regular stuff at local retail chains!
