Auto-renewed despite my request for cancellation.

After being told I was locked in for a year because I missed the auto-renewal I explicitly requested that it not auto-renew next time. Now it has auto-renewed AGAIN, the rate has increased significantly and I am told there is no record of my previous conversation.
I understand companies making mistakes, but to not fix this and honour their previous promise is poor customer service.
