Des O'leary Disposal

Mr. O'Leary showed up early (about 10 min.) for a junk removal job at my father's old house in the Annex area of Toronto. This involved some furniture and miscellaneous items.

He lowered the dumpster attached to his truck and opened its front doors, and together we loaded it until it was full. (He had asked me if I could help him. Otherwise, hiring another pair of hands would have cost an extra $100.) Mr. O'Leary made every endeavour to make everything fit into the dumpster. He broke big pieces down with a sledge hammer (or, when possible, dismantled them carefully with tools) and carried the bulk of the heavy pieces.

When the dumpster was loaded to capacity (we had just made it! I had started to worry that the job would require two trips), we closed its two front doors and spread and secured a tarp over the top.

I ended up owing him only $350 though I thought he'd cited an extra $50 dumpster fee--maybe it was included, or maybe he decided to forgo it. Because I paid in cash, he waived the HST. All in all, Mr. O'Leary was a straightforward, amicable, sincere and industrious gentleman.

Des showed up same day and helped me remove half a bin worth of renovation garbage and some other garbage lingering in the garage. He was prompt, professional and friendly - no different than the last time I used his services.

I called Mr. O'Leary on a Sunday, and he was at my house by Monday morning. He unloaded a dumpster on my driveway and helped me clean up the whole garage. We managed to fill the whole dumpster. He even removed a very heavy washing machine from my basement, and disposed of it. Mr. O'Leary was very sincere and honest, giving me an accurate estimate of the cost before we started.

I'm so glad I found Des on Homestars - he was just fantastic. I had some junk in the garage and leftover lumber in the yard and needed someone to haul it away quickly and cleanly. Des' rates were cheaper than the competitors, and he was flexible, punctual, friendly and very quick. I wish I had found him earlier, but I will definitely use him again if I ever need his services down the road. Thanks Des!

I called Des O'Leary on a Sunday and he was at my home to take away a garage full of renovation garbage the next morning. He was friendly and up front about all the costs involved and estimated within a few pounds how much junk I had (2.2 tons!). He even swept the garage before he left; I don't think I've ever seen it so clean. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of junk removal and would use his services again.

Very reliable and friendly. We call Des one day in August, and he and his brother came in the same day, even earlier with 10 minutes. They helped my husband to remove tons of old carpets that previous owner let us in the basement. Also there was space for some drywall, isolation and some huge rocks that we were so willing to get rid of. The process was done quick and efficient and no small items were left behind.

Really happy with the service. Des carted away our old drywall and light fixtures at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the big name junk removal services. He even took some bags of trash I forgot about.

We moved into this house 4 months ago and we have a lot of stuff from the previous owner as well as our own renovations etc. I called Des and he was here in two days time. Right off the bat he was very friendly and gave me a run down of how much it would cost. He told me just put all the stuff you do not want here and I will throw it in the bin. So I told him what I have and he just went to work even destroying an old picnic bench with his jack hammer. He seemed very fair with his job and attitude towards things. He worked very quickly and got the job done no matter what I had to get rid of. I highly recommend this man and his company.

My husband and I called Des the evening that we finished taking the old shingles (4 layers!) off our garage. I chose this company based on the reviews, and I also wanted to support a local company :)
Des came the next morning, as promised on the phone, cleared up the big pile of shingles, and swept up the nails. He is very pleasant to deal with, will definitely be calling again!
