My husband and I were familiar with Signature as they did a great job painting our new condo a couple of years ago (see our previous review). When we moved into our current home,one of our first priorities was to refinish and paint the walls. It is an older home, and the walls were very rough, with lots of evidence of previous renos/patchwork that had never been properly sanded down. We already knew that these guys are fantastic painters - but weren't sure how they would do with this level of prep work. We quoted a couple of other top rated painters from this website, but Drew gave us a great price, and we decided to trust our instincts and call Drew again. Well - we were not disappointed with our choice. Drew helped us out with some of the colour selections that we were unsure of, and the choices turned out great. As for the work itself, Anthony and Frank are meticulous when it comes to quality, very friendly and energetic. Not to mention, the singing is great too :) Our walls are now beautiful and smooth, we are amazed at the difference this has made in the look of our home. Thanks guys, we will see you again!

My husband and I called Des the evening that we finished taking the old shingles (4 layers!) off our garage. I chose this company based on the reviews, and I also wanted to support a local company :) Des came the next morning, as promised on the phone, cleared up the big pile of shingles, and swept up the nails. He is very pleasant to deal with, will definitely be calling again!

Based on many positive reviews here on Homestars, I contaced Dave @ Reliable when my A/C was not cooling when turned on this summer. After an assessment, it was determined we had a leaky condenser that needed replacing. I asked Walter if we would be better off just getting a new AC - as it is an older model. He said that was not necessary, and once the part was replaced it should be OK for a while - and I very much appreciated the honesty. The condenser was not in stock, so Walter was back in two days to install it. He was friendly, very easy to speak to, and got the job done! Even made some suggestions on keeping the system running well. We will definitely be calling again for future maintenance needs, and when the time comes for a new AC. Thanks!

We chose Open Sesame based on the reviews on this website - and have not been dissapointed. We are very happy with both the quality of the door and opener recommended by Steve, as well as by the work provided. Will definitely recommend to others in the future.

We hired Vito at Superior Fencing & Contracting to replace the ugly chain link fence in our new home's backyard. After being recommended to by a colleague, we called Vito and he was quickly available for a consultation at our home (no charge). He was helpful and honest in discussing our design ideas and options. A quick and accurate quote was provided. We chose to go with Superior Fencing's services, and are happy we did. The services were provided as promised on the quote, including take down and removal of the old fence, and clean up once the new fence was up. As the project was moving along, Vito quickly and courteously responded to any questions we had along the way. Once the project had been completed for a couple of weeks, we opened our garage for the first time - and noticed that it scraped against the fence when opening. Vito again quickly responded to our call, came to check out the issue, and proposed a solution - at no extra cost to us. It is very refreshing to work with a contractor who is both pleasant, and provides great workmanship. We will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Drew and his team did a great job painting our 830 sq ft condo. They were polite, professional, and effecient, but most importantly did some very quality work. Drew was even helpful in deciding which colours/textures to go with. I would gladly reccomend this company's work to my family and friends!

We moved in to our new condo in august 2007. We loved the modern but natural design of the building, and the unit has a great layout. Unfortunately there have been customer service issues, from the beginning. Communication (with customer or within the company) is not strong - we often felt left in the dark, and many processes seemed disorganized. For example - owners were sent a letter announcing the hours of the newly opened decor centre - and we drove across the city to find the decor centre dark and locked. No explanation/apology was ever sent. As for the actual product - the flooring and tiling work was done very well. The general contracting work is poor - the finishing of the walls & painting in particular, is careless and sloppy. We have electrical outlets installed on an angle (noticeably). Requests for patch-ups, have resulted in only a marginally better work. We were without without a kitchen sink for 2 weeks, and had only cold water for the first 5 days. Other less "vital" items which we paid for, such as undermount cabinet lighting, mirrored closet doors, a bathroom vanity, and our kitchen backsplash, took several weeks and even months to appear. Deadlines were several times promised to us - and then passed by without a word from the builder. The above concerns have been echoed by many of our neighbors. There is no question the architecture/design team is talented. I can only hope the builder learns from this development, and in the future hires professional, skilled contractors, and improves their customer service policies. If you do choose TAS - be prepared to take a firm stance when dealing with the company.
