ConTec was hired for a kitchen cupboard door restoration project in 2020, 2 years later still waiting for completion.

Numerous delays, poor workmanship, poor management and huge staining issues

Insurance adjusters insisted on a second opinion, he’s contracted to the insurance company. Was not respectful of our space or time during a global pandemic. Diagnosed wrong issue. Spent more time exploring space as a potential reno income then addressing the leak concern.

My insurance company got me in touch with Con-tech after my basement was flooded. Matt Gardner contacted me within a couple of hours and came to do a preliminary inspection of the damage. Within a couple of hours of the inspection, Matt had a cleanup crew in to remove damaged flooring, and supplied fans and dehumidifier to dry up the basement. I believe the speed in which he and his team reacted was the main reason the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. I found all the staff to be extremely professional and committed to resolving my basement problems. They kept all their appointments, and kept me informed of every step of the process. I highly recommend using Con-Tech if you experience basement flooding.

terrible quality service. Kitchen replacement was TERRIBLE. finish started peeling after one moth, Cheap , cheap cheap quality hardware. Installer painted all over the fridge, Didn't sand/prep veneer finishes properly. Took months to finish. Called insurance company after a few more months and they sent the same contractor who sent the same cabinet installer. Took a few doors and touched up a couple of spots and said it was fixed despite my objections.

A few months later -sure enough- the problem was worse than ever. Asked for another installer. Got one. Its now almost October and they started in march. Electrical wires left hanging over the sink for months. Much left unfinished. Phone calls left unanswered. Appointments cancelled at the last minute after taking a day off work. Finally had to settle with my insurance company and get the remaining work done privately. TERRIBLE.

I've had two basement floods in the last three years, once in 2008 and again in 2010; in 2008 the water came through the foundations and in 2010 through sewer backup. My insurance helped pay for the repairs both times and Con-Tech did the repairs both times. The first time I found them to be speedier and more thorough. The second time they were swift to do the initial flood cleanup, but they took six months to come back to do the restorations. And I had to be on top of them about each thing that they had to do, unlike the first time. Overall they did a good job and I would recommend them.

After the basement flooed, the company removed the floor and drwywall and dried the basement using several commerial dehumidifiers. The basement was dry within 48 hours so that work could be done to replace the wall an d floor.

Insurance company sent these guys to fix ceiling. Outstanding job.
