I had a Battikha Security rep arrive at my front door at the time when we were considering getting an alarm. Part of their promotion was a rebate of up to $100 for getting a system. The rebate would take the form of a gift card for either Petro Canada or Shell.
In order to get the rebate, I had to go through a number of steps. To make a long story short, there was a dramatic difference between the actual process and what I understood at the time of the sale. Over a number of months, the company and I discussed the situation. I am pleased to say that the company is now committing to making it right, and has told me that they have made changes to their sales practices to ensure that this does not happen in the future.
On the another note, their installer was awesome. We have Rogers home phone and only one phone jack in the whole house, tucked in a difficult part of the house to access. The installer creatively reworked some wiring to get the system hooked up, and did the job quickly and neatly.
