Came promptly to do estimate - walked with us throughout and showed us the good and the bad. Offered suggestions for "minimum" and for "best" in terms of options. Wrote a quote based on our needs within 24 hrs. Full work done within 6 days as promised. Minimal wall damage considering age of home and plaster. Bill came out higher than estimate based on a few unforseen electrical issues in basement but they swallowed some of the cost including install of a second panel - reasonable increase considering the "suprises" they found in the basement wiring. Quoted around $7200 - came out at $8200 which included the certificate from ESA for their work. Workers were clean, vacuumed up everyday, kept their equipment neat and tidy. Overall - good experience - would recommend!

I'm very happy with the electrical work done by Alex and Simon. They installed a new subpanel, moved 5 circuits from the main panel into the new subpanel, and ran three new circuits (one dryer circuit, and two 15A circuits). The guys were there almost the whole day and the price seemed reasonable for the amount of work needed to be done and the professionalism with which it was carried out.

I dealt mostly with Alex and he seems like a straight shooter. Apart from the original quoted work, I asked them to do a few extra things above the original quote and was given a reasonable increase on the spot. I didn't feel any upselling, and just got the sense that they're good guys who do good work. And, they left the place cleaner than they found it!

When the company's representatives can explain the problem in layman's terms, offer an adequate solution, and give sound reasoning for the quote they provide you with - you know that you're giving your house into good hands. If you are like me and like to know what's being done to your home and why, then Astron are the guys to call for electrical services. Alex and Ted are both very knowledgeable, it shows that they've really been doing this for a while. Thanks guys!

Astron knows old houses. I interviewed several electricians recommended to me by the Home Service Club, but found that they were all worried about working in my 100 yr old house - the plaster & lath walls, the asbestos wrappings on the heating ducts, the knob & tube wiring. It was a relief to me when Ted told me that they were accustomed to working on the old houses in my neighbourhood.
I had Astron replace knob & tube wiring on my ground floor, and add new electrical outlets and lighting fixtures. In all they installed 16 outlets and 8 electrical fixtures. This work took 3 days.
The guys arrived on time and worked hard all day. They were knowledgeable, polite, and cleaned up the work area well. I was impressed that they neatly re-plastered any holes that they had to make in the walls, and removed old wiring that was no longer needed. I was disappointed that they left a left a large garbage can full of removed wires in my basement.
They told me when there was a problem with an outlet location that I had picked, and we discussed together how to rearrange things to work well for me, and for the installation. They told me when an old light fixture was unsafe to reinstall, and they did install a new fixture that I had quickly rushed out to replace it with. I feel that it is important to remain in the house while contractors are working, so that when unexpected issues pop up they can be discussed and resolved right away.
Overall I was very pleased with their work. I do plan to hire Astron again next year, to replace knob & tube wiring on my second floor.

I picked the company because they have been in the same location for as long as I lived here (20+ years). Ted came to see the situation and gave me a fair quote. Alex removed the old panel and did a great job installing the new panel. He was able to use existing wiring and did a very clean job on wiring the panel. Gave good additional advise. I would recommend them to replace your main electrical panel.

Everything in the kitchen was on the same circuit and needed to be seperated which they did. Installed a new lighting system in the basement using tracklights which look great. They also wired and installed security lights outside where there weren't any before so new we have piece of mind. Rewired bathroom lights because one switch was turning on lights and the power plugs. They separated it and then patched everything back up nicely so all we have to do is re-paint once we decide what color we're going to use. Some of the holes they patched you can't even tell there was anything done because of the current paint color but we're going to repaint anyway. They did a wonderful job and we haven't had any issues. Now all my family uses Astron Electric for their electrical work big or small.

A younger man came to fix my panel who was extremely friendly, knowledgable and neat with the work he was doing. He explained the problem and process as he was working so that i could understand every step of the way. He was very efficient with his time at my home and not to mention came at the approx. time when he said he would be here by. Pricing was also very fair. I would definetly recommend this company / call them again for any future work.

Astron Electric was very professional in their workmanship , explained completely what the job was going to consist of. Arrived at specified time and performed the necessary clean up after job was performed.

The Electrican on site was very courteous, knowlegable and paid close attention to detail. We commend him for his great quality service. Their prices were competitive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician and want the job done right. Would definitely enlist their services again, should the need for an electrician arise again. 5 Stars. In the frustrating world of renos it was nice to have dealt with Astron Electric and Alex specifically. I had issues with other tradesmen but Astron was nothing short of a great customer experience. Professionalism in every sense of the word - Accurate quote, showed up when they said, cleaned up, polite, gave options, respectful of property and noise levels / courteous and explained every detail with me so to set my expectations. Fair price but i would pay double if i knew that I could always rely on a company like that. Especially when electrical is the most important from a safety standpoint!

I would highly recomend Astron ELectric, they were friendly, professional and made many helpful suggestions. The crew worked very quickly and efficiently and took great pride in their work. Overall I was very pleased with the finished result and would not hesitate to hire again.
