I got a few quotes from popular contractors in the area to install a Ductless A/C system to cool our main floor and upstairs. The quotes were comparable, but Green Choice offered, what I felt was a superior solution to the problem. The solution was to put in an attic unit with vents to all bedrooms, which was perhaps ignored by the other contractors as it was more more complex and laborious. The original solution did not perform quite as we had hoped (as Nathan probably erred on the side of not wanting to over-compensate our cooling system), but Green choice stuck by us to remedy the situation and ensure we were completely satisfied with the end result. Highly recommended!

Jay was great to work with. He was fun, experienced, and we ended up with a design which we absolutely loved. When we started the process, we were pretty set on what we thought we wanted, which was demo'ing a small existing addition, and building interior stairs. Jay made us think about the cons of that design (namely giving up square footage) and asked us to trust him as he thought could re-envision the small addition into something usable, attractive, and which didn't eat into the backyard too much. We decided to trust him and let him run with the design, which ended up paying off. What Jay come up with was something we could never have envisioned on our own, and we're glad we allowed him to pursue his idea. The final design is simple, functional, elegant, and not cost prohibitive.

Wow, am I glad I found Ivan. We had some significant noise issues in our basement apartment and I think we've finally got them under control. Sound control, as I've come to appreciate, is quite a complicated thing to combat. Ivan has both the theoretical background and the practical building know-how to provide good suggestions to solve your sound problems. He also gave a detailed report showing what my reno options were for my specific situation and what kind of sound improvements I could expect from each option.

I'm very happy with the electrical work done by Alex and Simon. They installed a new subpanel, moved 5 circuits from the main panel into the new subpanel, and ran three new circuits (one dryer circuit, and two 15A circuits). The guys were there almost the whole day and the price seemed reasonable for the amount of work needed to be done and the professionalism with which it was carried out. I dealt mostly with Alex and he seems like a straight shooter. Apart from the original quoted work, I asked them to do a few extra things above the original quote and was given a reasonable increase on the spot. I didn't feel any upselling, and just got the sense that they're good guys who do good work. And, they left the place cleaner than they found it!
