A1 Air Conditioning & Heating

I have been an A1 customer for almost 30 years. I have always had prompt service by reliable, friendly and competent service technicians. I highly recommend A1's supercare program to take care of all heating and air conditioning needs.

Called A1 emergency service Sat afternoon and got Mike. Mike was run ragged with emergency calls. He came within 3 hours and quickly determined I needed a new fan motor. He called early Sun to tell us the first Carrier warehouse didn't have the part and called us again when a second warehouse had stock. He further updated us to advise he had the part and his eta. He persisted and fixed the problem despite some difficult obstacles. He was extremely pleasant and informative at each stage. Couldn't have been happier with his service.

Called emergency Saturday morning and left message. Mike returned my call within half an hour. He arrived within his suggetsed window about two hours later, quickly determined the problem was the blower, had to go to Hamilton to get the part and then replaced. Stayed with our problem until corrected. Passed on lots of good tips. Great serviceman, pleasant, professional and was concerned that all with us was well. Glad to have the pleasure of meeting Mike and having him correct the problem. A-1 has always provided great service to us. Thanks.

When we moved into our new (to us) house 16 years ago, we were advised we needed a new furnace. I shopped around and eventually chose a high-efficiency Carrier furnace to be installed by A1 Air Conditioning and Heating. At the time I chose them because they met the competitor's price and had the best warranty (10 years). Now, having dealt with them for 16 years, I am not even going to shop around when we finally have to replace this furnace: I will just stick with A1. A1's service has been A1 throughout. We have the SuperCare plan, which includes a yearly check-up, cleaning and safety inspection, as well as warranty-like coverage for problems. On the rare occasions that we have needed repairs, A1's courteous, competent technicians have been able to fix the problem on the day it occurred. Once, the part which was needed was only available from a warehouse on the far side of Hamilton, so the technician drove, late in the workday, to pick it up, returned the same day to install it, and was as happy to get our furnace running as if it had been his own house. I have been consistently happy with A1, and recommend them highly. #83334

Our 28 year old air conditioner was barely working by the end of the summer, so we decided to get a new one, while also considering replacing the 19 year old furnace at the same time. Dave from A1 came to our house within four hours of my call to A1 to provide a quote. He also included information on the government rebates we were eligible for. We decided late on a Thursday night to proceed with A1 - first thing on Monday morning, the installers were at our house installing our new units. They did a great job and finished by early afternoon, leaving everything clean and in place. A week later, an A1 inspector came to double-check to ensure everything about the installation was perfect (which it was - the installer, Joe, had 40 years of experience installing these units). Again, we had a great experience and have a new air conditioner and furnace both of which will significantly reduce our energy costs over the next few years. I would gladly recommend A1 to anyone in the market for HVAC equipment.

Called A1 as my furnace was not working. Quick response for a late night service call to restore furnace operation quickly. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and quick to diagnose issue and repair in a short time.
