We hired Bryan to completely renovate our kitchen, mudroom and downstairs bathroom. We had several quotes, he was in the mid to high range, but came with qualifications none of the other bids had. His timeline estimate was overrun by a bit, no fault of his, we had some extra work that was revealed only after the extension was gutted. We required an extensive renovation, including reinforcing structural issues that existed. The two rooms were gutted to the crawl space and rebuilt from the beams up. They placed new electrical, plumbing and HVAC. We chose our own kitchen from a box store, and Bryan's crew installed to our specifications. We also had a washer/dryer put in the bathroom, along with a new shower stall (previously there had only been a half bath). All the work was done efficiently, and issues were discussed immediately with additional quotes where required. Bryan had a great crew, and had the contacts to bring in everyone we needed. He applied for the building permit that was required, and had a structural engineered drawing commissioned. One of the main reasons we wanted to work with Bryan was his ability to place a brand new kitchen/ mudroom/bathroom in an existing Century home ... we really wanted something that would fit with the decor of the rest of the house, and he was willing to work with us to see that design realized. From the building of new window moldings that matched the main part of the house, to using our existing antique lighting fixtures, he was open to whatever design elements we requested. At the end of our reno we had a few issues that he cleared up quickly and accurately (drywall bubble, and some grout that wouldn't stay put). After having lived with our renovation for a year now, we are superbly happy with the work that was done. In the end, Bryan and his crew did an amazing job, making our home feel safe and look beautiful.

We originally had Alan out for a quote for just our downstairs windows. We had a front window original to our house that was leaking all kinds of air and needed to be replaced. The quote for all our downstairs windows was quite reasonable, so we asked for him to quote our upstairs windows as well. Turns out that the quote matched what we had budgeted, but we would end up with ALL our windows replaced. It was a fantastic deal! Alan was great to deal with, helping us determine what would work best for our century home, and working around some difficulties we found (our eaves troughs). The installation crew (Paul, Randy) were awesome, even coming back on a long weekend to finish the job. They were meticulous in scraping off the old caulking, making sure we had sufficient insulation and once all done it looked beautiful. They worked around our pets making sure none ran outside, and were careful and considerate when working inside. Our new windows are so bright! Outside is perfect adding to the curb appeal of our home. We could not have asked for a greater team of guys to take care of us.

Kevin came out and was quite helpful in determining which trees had to be removed, along with trees that we wanted removed from our yard. He gave us helpful pointers and suggestions that helped us save money. He was reasonable with the other quotes we had received, and was friendly. On a handshake, we agreed and a few weeks later he was out removing our trees and stumps. His crew also limbed some trees we had that were overhanging on our sidewalk and back porch. He removed a very big, old tree from our backyard that was leaning towards our neighbour and brand new fence. He and his crew were careful to ensure no damage was done to either our neighbours garage, or the new fence. They cleaned up our yard and came back later to remove the stumps. He even took out stumps we hadn't requested, but made our lives a lot easier by doing so (we were going to try and rip them out ourselves). He also removed a big pile of brush we had on our lot, without us even asking. All in all, we would strongly recommend Durham Tree Service for cost and wonderful over and above helpful service.

Dial One Duct Cleaning came to our century home to clean and sanitize our ducts. We were so impressed with their service. They were respectful of our home, quick & efficient, and their prices were great! The sanitation aspect was important as we both have allergies, and not knowing the last time the ducts were cleaned, we wanted to make sure everything was clean for our new furnace installation. The house smelled great after they were done! The gentleman who came was friendly and easy to talk with, helping us with things in our home we didn't know about, as well as helpful tips for our new community. A++ service & price. We'll definitely continue to use them for our scheduled cleanings. Thanks!!
