Grant in Etobicoke

20 year old A/C conked out on a hot week in the spring. The big HVAC service company responded put in a new capacitor but it didn't fix it, and then said I needed a new A/C right away (and furnace). A friend referred Joe and Joey, responded in the same day, checked over the whole system, replaced the capacitor, did some other stuff and had it running in an hour, and running better than it was before. Joe did say I dont know if it will last couple of months or a couple of years, but you now have time to shop for new and not be an a desperate situation I have time to do an energy audit and qualify for some rebates all in a cool house. Its been a few moths and its still working!

White Shark has been our reliable, reasonably priced window cleaner for many years. Its not even a second thought, they just take care of it. And, thoughtful enough to close the backyard gate so the dog doesn't escape. Nice to come home to clean windows, especially when I didn't have to do it.

We had BlueCircle back to re-landscape our backyard after they had done a great job on our waterproofing. I was particularly impressed with 2 things - they were fast and paid attn. to detail. This was a big project: removal of the old, rebuilding a retaining wall, sitting wall, natural stone patio, hard and soft scape and re-grading. The whole crew was in and out in a week - no fooling around. Also the attention to detail: I watched one of the guys laying a stone 5x before he was satsified (it looked fine to me after 1x). At the end it was completely done and looked great - well worth the cost.

Clean - on time - on budget - no surprises. What I appreciated most about Blue Circle was they did their homework while on-site rather than just assuming it was a standard job. This allowed them to show the little details that would make the job better with-out adding a lot of cost and where not to spend money. They also outlined what problems we might discover once they started digging - a little scary at first - but it let us prepare for the possibility and budget for it (no other contracter pointed these out). The other contractors just applied standard pricing - and I assume a standard job. Naturally this is a messy job, yet they left the site clean and safe every night and when they finished the project. They site inspected to be sure those little details were actually done too. I know the job we got was the job we paid for.

Max saved us over $10k. We had a drain back-up, called 5 plumbing and drain specialists including the big popular ones and others that were rated high at homestars. Most scoped the drain and showed me all the critical deficiencies and roots that would keep causing the back-up. Then they quoted me $5-10k to crack the floor replace the drain pipe and dig and replace the pipe in front lawn. Max - did the same except he showed the drain wasn't deficient, had many years left. If I was worried simply have the drain rooted for $80 each year. I know Max was biting his tongue when he showed me what the pipe was supposed to look like and what the others said was a deficiency. He rooted the drain and its been 3 years and we've had no problems.
