We have used Jovak Landscaping to do 3 major projects over the past 10 years. The first project was landscaping the backyard; 7 years later we needed to re-do a section of patio that we had left as is when the backyard was done and because we had found the Jovak team to be good to work with and knew that their work stood up over time, we had them come back to do the second job. This year we decided to do the front walkway and again, because of our positive past experience we brought Jovak back. The owner, John, is excellent to work with and has outstanding design ideas. The teams that have worked on site have been competently supervised, they do quality work and are both fast and clean. We highly recommend Jovak for all landscaping needs.

We selected Acorn for this project based on the ratings and comments made on HomeStars. It was a great decision and we are exceptionally happy with the quality of the installation and excellent customer service that we received. Ron quoted our project and was readily available throughout the process, coming in at the end to help finish up. Val and Erin handled the administrative elements, and did so in friendly, timely and efficient way. Nathan did the install and we are beyond pleased with his work. We recommend Acorn without hesitation and would use them again.

We recently replaced our exterior siding with Hardie Plank and opted for the primed product as Hardie did not offer a suitable colour. We had previously had some ceiling repair work and miscellaneous painting done by Matt Weiler that we were pleased with, and so selected him to paint the new siding. We regret to say that while his quote was competitive, the quality of workmanship and overall customer experience was disappointing and we will not use his services again. Matt chose to not visit our house in person to create his quote, and instead relied on memory and pictures. His quote stated that there would be "2 coats of paint" but in actuality this was not the case. He spray painted the house once and then applied a second coat to "areas that needed it" (his words, not ours). Trim that had previously been painted a dark grey (not replaced along with the siding) was painted 3x, but 2 coats were applied within a 10 hour period. The new trim was painted only once in some cases. Overall this was a sub-standard job at a price comparable to that charged by other painters, based on the quotes we received. We will be employing an alternative painter to re-do the trim in the spring and do not recommend the services of Weiler Painting.

We just had Legacy re-do the siding on the exterior of our home, and it was one of the most professional and cooperative re-model experiences we have had. To note, we re-did our bathrooms 5 years ago, and our kitchen 3 years ago, and have had numerous other improvements made, so we have some experience with renovations. Jayden, the principal, was highly involved from the outset; coming to our home to measure and discuss options, being available 7 days a week to answer questions, and reacting, without hesitation, to correct any identified issues. The guys that did the work were pleasant, professional, and respectful. The final outcome is that we have a like new home with beautiful siding. Our only regret is that we employed legacy to do the siding and door, and did not use them for the windows! We would without hesitation recommend Legacy to anyone looking to re-do their exterior.

We learned about A Glass Act through Shell Busey's website and called for a free estimate. Kirby replied promptly, provided full disclosure and a competitive price. We decided to wait until the following year to get the job done and when we contacted Kirby again he quickly brought up our file and was able to arrange to have the work done in a short period of time. The guys that came to the house were pleasant to deal with, did a great job of cleaning the roof and left a minimum amount of residual mess around the perimeter. We were especially concerned about the any potential negative impact to our dog and garden plants and as discussed in advance with Kirby, there was none. The moss removal process was effective and safe and we would recommend it to our friends.
