Let me say that I am pretty fussy when it comes to quality and detail. This company took care of my concerns and did a high quality job. The price was fair, and they were on time. The owner is easy to talk to, and made good on a few problems I wanted fixed.
I think it's odd that this company is called "Same Day Service". I called them on a Tuesday morning and told them that my stove cooktop did not work. The nice lady on the phone assured me I had called the right place and they could help me. <p> She took my name and address and asked me when I could meet the service man for an estimate. I said that they could come now. She told me that it doesn't work that way and the next appointment was three days away. <p> I started to laugh as I asked her "But this is same day service right?". She said yes, but that does not mean they can help me on the same day! <p> What a joke! I took the soonest appointment and the service man came over to look at my repair. He said he needed to order a part since he did not have it in stock. <p> So we waited a few weeks for the part. They came to install it and later found it was the wrong part. They had to reorder the part again which took a few more weeks. <p> They finally came again after a few weeks to replace the part. The cooktop did finally work and I could use my stove again. <p> However it took well over a month and cost me way too much money. They also pushed some expensive service plan on me. <p> Next time I need repair, I think I will call a service parts center and do the work myself.
I needed a side view mirror for my truck. It had fallen off and I needed a quick replacement. This company ordered my mirror and helped my install it myself.
Overall this company did a good job. We already had landscape plans, so we did not require any design. They were hired to order our plants from the plant list, and install it per the specified plans. We had dimensions and exact placement for all plants. We also hired them to install sod grass in a very specific shape. <p> They did a nice job, however we did have several problems with them trying to swap out some plants with other varities. We caught this a few times and felt we needed to watch over them to make sure they were putting in exactly what was specified. <p> Perhaps we are not their average client, as we had very specific requirements, and we wanted everthing according to plan. <p> They also honored a price quote we got from them over a year earlier. I think we got a great deal. <p> Despite all this, they did do a nice job and I am proud of the work they did. They were clean and respective of our neighborhood. They completed the job on time, and worked hard to ensure our satisfaction.
We wanted a high end wooden fence product. . <p> This company custom fabricates their own fences and uses high quality materials. They use nice big dimensional lumber, and stain paint. <p> We hired them to build and install our fence in the rear of our house. I had made a request and paid extra to use a high quality stainless steel nail for fabricating the fence. I later learned during installation that they skipped this and used aluminum nails instead. I was furious they did not raise it to my attention, and I caught them in a lie. The owner apologized and gave me a nice discount for my trouble. <p> The fence looks great, and they did a nice job on the installation.
I was not happy with the quality of this contractors work - ultimatly I ended up firing him. <p> They tried hard, and perhaps I just have high standards. But we could not aggree on many issues, especially with respect to the design of my french drain. He became hard to talk to, and would not listen to our concerns. Halfway through the job he approached us about the price of the job and said he needed to double it!!! <p> Considering the work that was done and our disatisfaction, we decided to pay him for what he did and asked him to leave. He left our house a mess and we had to pay a lot of money to cleanup after him. We ended up completing the job ourselves, and still need to re-work some of the work he did on the front. <p> This is a small company where the owner is the one doing the work himslef. I will say that he is a nice guy, and I know he cares about customer satisfaction. I think he took on too big of a job with our project and got in over his head. He did try to make it right a few times too. So I would say if you have a smaller project, then this company may be right for you. <p>
This guy did a great job. He took my drawings and turned them in into a work of art. The quality was great, he glued every joint and screwed each section with stainless steel fasteners. I did have one small problem, but he rectified it with no questions and no hassle. <p> Fantastic job!!!!
I hired Laughlin Contracting to replace my roof. This contractor had a fair price and did the job on time. <p> However I noticed that after a few weeks, that when it rained I noticed the rain water goes between my facia board and my gutters. After some research I have found that this contractor did not install the drip edge system properly. <p> Worse off is that I gave the contractor a call, and he refused to fix the problem, claiming that I needed to chaulk my gutters. He got all defensive and did not represent the same customer service he proclaimed when he first sold me the services. I have a brother that had a roof installed by the same contractor and now he has the same problem I do. <p> I would not reccomend this contractor. I am currently in dispute and trying to get it repaired. From my perspective I feel this contractor did not do a quality job, my roof still leaks.
