Nothing ever stops working when it's convenient. On January 30, 2023, my combination boiler/tankless hot water system quit in the middle of the night and we woke to a cold house. I called MDM Mechanical. Mike, the owner and operator of the company answered the phone himself and although he had several booked appointments, he said he would fit me in. He arrived at my house within a couple of hours, quickly diagnosed the problem and had the furnace working good as new within twenty minutes. The low cost of the repair was a pleasant surprise and there was no "Covid surcharge" or "emergency visit fee" tacked onto it. Mike is a rare find: honest, hardworking, efficient, dependable and knowledgeable. Believe me, you'll want to keep his number handy to recommend to all your friends and family.

Do not buy Enercare's Plumbing and Drain Protection Plan. It is a bogus plan that is worthless and misrepresented. You will not get the service you think you are purchasing. An Enercare salesperson sold me a Plumbing and Drain Protection Plan over the phone and stated that it covered parts and labour for plumbing and drain problems. I specifically asked if it covered faucets and was told yes, it covered parts and labour, but if the faucet was not repairable, then I would be responsible for purchasing a new faucet, but they would install it. The first time I tried to use the plan for a leaking tap, they wanted to charge me for the part, the labour, and the time it would take for the repair person to drive to Home Depot and purchase the part and return. I lodged a complaint and they agreed to pull the original sales conversation. I requested a copy of the full conversation at that time. They since made their decision that the plan wasn't misrepresented and I'm still waiting 2 months later for a copy of the original conversation. Do not buy this plan, it is bogus and worthless. They refused to cancel the plan, refused to refund my money, refused to do the repairs and have not sent me the conversation so I can prove that I was misinformed on what I was purchasing.
