From the first moment of Ivanka kindly scheduled a home visit for a free quote until the date Josko, a master electrician and owner of the company, efficiently installed the doorbell, everything went very smoothly. In addition, when I’ve found out that there was a minor issue with the doorbell and messaged him to let him know, he quickly messaged me back to assure me and came back to my home the first thing in the morning the next day to address it and make sure everything else worked as expected. It was indeed a very pleasant experience to deal with such courteous and professional team and I highly recommend Rare Electric for anyone requiring any electrical needs. Before we moved into my current house earlier this year, we were told (and warned) by our home inspector that the fan in our powder room was venting to the garage behind the washroom and it would definitely need to be redirected (or at least sealed off), otherwise, carbon monoxide could come into the house through the fan. We had therefore been not parking our car in the garage for the summer/fall, but as we were approaching winter and expecting snow, we'd certainly want to get the issue addressed so that we will be able to park our car in the garage for the winter. After reading Steve and his team's excellent reviews from their happy customers and I've contacted Steve. From the first moment I talked to him on the phone to inquire about the nature of the issue (he was, in fact, the first and only one I've inquired about the job btw), Steve coming over to my place to have a look and provide his suggestions/quote, and finally him and Peter coming over to my place a few days later to successfully perform the job in addressing it, everything was very smooth and I have to say it was certainly a real pleasant experience. Both Steve and Peter were very professional, courteous, friendly, and most importantly very knowledgeable and passionate about everything to do with "air in motion" After completing the job, they even took some time to answer my (related & unrelated) questions and even offered to look around the house to provide several very helpful suggestions in properly maintaining/using fire place/furnace/switches etc.. Thank you very much again for everything, Steve and Peter, and I will definitely contact them again for our future needs in heating & cooling (and others)!

After moving to a new house, we needed several small to large (handyman) jobs required to be done around/in the house. After checking out reviews of several contractors on Homestars, I’ve contacted Doktor Handyman, and Aly at Doktor Handyman quickly responded to my message and showed up on the date/time we agreed on. From my first impression, as well as after dealing with him via personal meetings/calls/emails for several weeks, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him - Aly is a true gentleman who is very knowledgeable, courteous, communicative, and professional - and with 25+ years of experience as a contractor (who could do all kinds of small AND large jobs) under his belt, he provided us many helpful details/suggestions, provided excellent/quality service in taking care of some small jobs, and he was even very accommodative by showing up and completing some emergency duct/pipe work required the day after I contacted him, in order for us to go ahead with the scheduled installation of our new washer/dryer. All of his work done for us was completed to perfection and he’s always made sure we were satisfied with his work/final results! Thank you very much again, Aly/Docktor Handyman, for everything, and I will certainly look forward to using (and recommending) his service again for any future projects!

We have recently moved into a new (but “old”) house and were definitely in need of replacing our very old, covered-up soffit vents. We have therefore checked out reviews of many who provide the service and found & contacted Maxima Aluminum with excellent reviews. Gennadiy responded to my message very quickly and came over to our place the next day during the day (as we would not have needed to be at home) to look around/measure our house and in a few days provided us a very detailed, competitive quote based on our requirements and optional ones we were initially not considering but he was suggesting for our roof type and future maintenance. I’ve, in fact, had lots of questions for him via emails before we finally decide to go ahead with them (and also during/after the installation), and he was always very responsive, friendly and professional with very detailed and helpful info/suggestions, which was of course much appreciated! The installation took 2 days and at the end of each day, Gennadiy emailed me to provide me an update and also checked with me on the day the installation was completed, in making sure we were happy with the final result, and when we, in fact, mentioned him that one of the downspouts installed looked a bit short, i.e. close to the house (while we were happy with the rest), and he gladly replaced it with the longer one, on the spot, when he came over to our house a few days later to get the payment/provide us an invoice/warranty. The final results were beautiful and Gennadiy performed a final inspection, in ensuring that everything was good and even provided me additional suggestions in how best to maintain them and what to do in case there is any issue(s) with any of them in the future. Thank you very much again, Gennadiy/Maxima Aluminum for everything, and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality eaves contractor!

After finding out that there were some damages to the house we agreed to purchase, we had to quickly find a very good inspector who could help assess the seriousness of the damage (+ more) asap. After checking out many inspector’s reviews on Homestars, as I usually do, as well as many of Brent’s 680+ reviews from his happy customers + several TV programs he was featured in for home inspections and his advices for homeowners, I’ve decided to contact him (the only inspector I’ve contacted) to inquire him of the home inspection. I have to say, from the moment I talked to him on the phone to schedule an appointment with him, he was very friendly, courteous, professional, and accommodative. On the date of his inspection, he’s come to the house on time (about an hour distance from where he is), performed more than 2 hours of very thorough inspection of the house, and provided all the things/advices we’d need to be aware of about the damages and others around the house. While it hurts to find out from his inspection that the damage is more serious than we thought, we were certainly appreciative with Brent’s honest opinions of the damages from his expertise/professionalism/15+ years of experience and easy-to-approach personality. Furthermore, he even provided a very detailed inspection report with almost 120 pictures on the date he inspected house, not to mention his rate (especially him being one of the best in the industry, in my opinion) was definitely very reasonable. Needless to say, if I will ever require another inspection in the future, I will certainly not hesitate at all to contact Brent, and will also recommend him to anyone who will need a very reliable, professional inspector. After I was inherited with the sprinkler system from the previous owner of my current place I moved to last year, I definitely needed some tips and maintenance on them. After checking for reviews of several names, I've decided to go with Green Valley (with almost 100 wonderful reviews on from all of their happy customers). I've contacted them and talked to John, the owner of the company, who was very courteous/friendly, and he was very willing to accommodate my schedule if/as possible and agreed to drop by on one of the two dates I could work from home for the service. On the day he's come for maintenance and opening of the system, he thoroughly inspected all the components/lines associated, provided suggestions, fixed some broken parts, and made sure that the sprinklers would indeed cover all the parts of the lawns. Honestly, I was, in fact, kind of worried that he might overcharge me for all the work he has done for me (mostly my fault as I did not ask/discuss with him for the cost before the jobs were initiated/done) but all of the jobs were done at very reasonable price, not to mention he wanted to make sure that I was very happy with his service and also asked me to call him anytime if I have any questions/concerns and/or require service on the sprinkler(s) - which certainly made me feel that he was not just doing it as an one time thing (especially given that it was a small job compared to many others he's done, I.e. "installation" of the irrigation system) and that he'd like to ensure to have me as his future/long-time customer. As all of his other happy customers, I'm indeed very happy with his fantastic service from the beginning to the end - THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN, John!! - and needless to say, I'll certainly use his and his team's service again for closing/opening of the system and any additional service that I may require in the future!

I've had my roof done by Gitano last fall and I have to say everything was very smooth from the beginning to the end. Before the roof work was done, Lewis, the owner of the company, provided me very transparent and detailed explanations/answers on all the things that will be done on my new roof and the work was completed in a very professional, clean, and timely manner, i.e. when I've come back from work around 6:30 pm, roof work/cleaning were already done, and more importantly, I haven't had a single issue for almost 8 months now (and of course, even if there is, I am sure Lewis and his team will come to my place on the same/next day to fix any roof issue(s) we may be facing in the next 14-15 years while we are covered for warranty). Apparently, the company does have one of the best, if not the best, reviews/ratings on Homestars, and offer a very competitive pricing - not very surprisingly, I already see their signs in front of many houses in my area (Thomas & Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga)! Thank you, Lewis/Gitano, for your worry-free roof work and quality roofing service!

All the employees I dealt with at EDKC were very friendly and professional from the beginning to the end and I could not be happier that I made the right choice by hiring them! Patrick always responded to my emails with questions almost right away (even on the weekend!!), with detailed information, and in a very friendly manner, which you probably cannot expect from many of the contractors out there. Ed and Kenny, who came to my place for the installation of my dishwasher and microwave, were also very friendly and would get the job done very effectively and in a timely manner. Furthermore, while their attention to detail would not make me worry about the job done at all, they were even offering me a warranty on their labour for 1-year!! WOW!! One thing I was very impressed and would definitely like to mention is when they, Ed/Kenny, were actually offering me to come back without penalty to install both microwave and dishwasher, if I’d wanted, when I told them my microwave did not arrive in time for the installation. This clearly shows how service-oriented they are and I will probably use their wonderful service again in the future as well as recommending the experienced and friendly staff at EDKC to my friends/family members!
