I was considering modifying my seven-year old home security system to take advantage of new technological developments. I met a representative from Trilex Security at the Ottawa Home and Garden Show and I was pleased to discover that there is a Canadian company providing security services to Canadians using the latest technology at competitive prices. The representative, who was low key in his approach, proposed to provide a better service for less. I am always skeptical about these offers but I nevertheless agreed to have an evaluation done on my house. As a result of the evaluation, I changed my security provider to Trilex. I now have a more comprehensive security system with additional upgraded sensors that include CO and flood warnings. For a small additional fee (about $2.50/month), I am able to monitor my residence over the internet. I recently travelled to Europe and I tested the system and it worked as described. I was informed in near real time of activity through my mobile phone. You can also activate and de-activate the system. The system works as advertised and I now have a modern security system which is much better than the one it replaced and it costs me less. As a bonus, it is a Canadian company monitoring in Canada; not an international one. Finally, the personnel from Trilex have been extremely helpful during the transition from the old system to the new one. I highly recommend this product and company.
