I called Max Appliance on Friday night, and they immediately set up an appointment Saturday morning. The technician, Evgeny arrived promptly just before 9am and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. It was not a cheap repair, but it was better than having to spend 3 times that amount (at least) for a whole new fridge. In addition, my son's birthday was the following weekend so without it being fixed it would not have been good. Thank you Evgeny (Eugene) for your prompt, courteous, and professional service.
