I bought a Silestone countertop through HomeDepot. I had my new Ikea cabinets installed by my own people. After my cabinets were installed, the countertop people came in and measured everything. Two weeks later they came to install the countertop on a Friday around 3pm. They then said the cabinets weren't level enough. So my renovation team was on site and said they would need about 20 or 30 minutes the fix the slight problem and the Silestone guys would not help. They said that time was too long and they then left. I called homeDepot and had to pay them $400 to get them to come back to finish the installation which took them about 3 or 4 hours. So, the actual kicker was that the cabinets weren't out of level, it was their installation technique that was most of the problem. It was the lack of proper support over a lazy susan corner. So, after installation I called the store manager and they said it's not their problem, too bad for me. Wow, if I treated my customers this way I would be out of business! I pais $3000 and they couldn't wait for 20 minutes, nevermind even helping. Anyway, the countertop is beautiful, however the manager at that store is lacking any customer service courtesy.
