Steven and his team did a wonderful job with the storage cabinets and entertainment unit that truly completed our recently finished basement. Steven gave us great ideas for the design and finishes, the whole team was very professional. We are very happy with the results and definitely recommend them.

Upon contacting a number of companies, we decided to go with Finished Basement because of the way they approach projects. Their quote was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest, and while their estimate of 2-3 weeks to complete the job might sound at first too good to be true, when you see how they work you can understand why they are able to pull it off without compromising quality (our project was done in 2 weeks). They were always on time, always cleaned up at the end of the day, they answered our questions, promptly responded to our calls and accommodated to our requests. Natalie's advice was very helpful to make up our minds for the flooring and wall colours and Igor (electrician) helped us come up with an effective design for all electrical points. The project went smoothly, with minimal disruption to our lives, and we are pleased with the end result. These guys know their stuff, from the estimation phase with Vitalyi where they use detailed forms to walk you through each aspect of the project you need to be aware of, to the execution where they have developed a well thought approach that allows them to plan and carry out projects effectively (i.e., getting materials on site on time, coordinating who will be on site each day to do specific tasks, etc.). A couple of minor details for improvement that we noticed later on after the end of the project: when taking measurements for getting custom blinds for the windows we found out the space left on the wall around the windows wasn't quite the same (varied by window), and the custom shelves installed in the laundry closet weren't uniform either, nothing you can notice at first sight but only when actually taking measurements. Overall, we are satisfied with the work and glad that we were able to get a nice basement finished without spending several weeks on the project.

I purchased a new air conditioner in September '16. When I signed the contract in my house with sales agent he assured me I was eligible for a $400 government rebate for replacing my old air conditioner, we did the paperwork right there and he said I should expect cheque in 4-8 weeks. 9 weeks later nothing received, I tried to follow up with sales agent via e-mail (I never got his phone number), he never responded. Around the same time I called Reliance to inquire about getting a tankless water heater to replace my current model which has a tank. Turns out they sent the same sales agent to my house to make a quote (at first he looked familiar but I wasn't sure if it was the same person). When he was about to leave he said he would be calling me again next day with a quote for the water heater. Then he realized my address was familiar and asked me if he had sold me the air conditioner in the summer, I recognized him then so I acknowledged and told him I had e-mailed him last week about the AC rebate, he said he would look into it. Days passed and he magically disappeared, never heard back from him on either the quote or the rebate inquiry. Called Reliance and was told the application for rebate had not been yet submitted (there was a deadline of Jan 8, 2017 to submit, otherwise I'd loose the rebate), and they would look into it. Days later I was told there had been an error in the initial application and it had been submitted a couple of days ago, and later on, on that same day, they called me again saying that my old AC was not eligible for rebate. If you enjoy being misled by a sales agent in the rush of making sales, being ignored when you try to follow up, and wasting your time on useless and misleading calls, go with Reliance. As for me, I will never do business with them again and definitely will not recommend to anyone.
