We needed a container to remove a lot of gravel and stones from our backyard which we wanted to turn into a garden. We chose Ontario Mini Bins because they are one of the few companies accredited with the Better Business Bureau and were willing to deal with this type of garbage. The phone call was very professional and uncomplicated and we got our quote and a date for the delivery for Saturday between 8 and 9am. On Saturday, 8am sharp, the driver rang our bell to drop off the bin for 7 days. He was professional and friendly and did not even complain about our narrow driveway. We paid the amount that was agreed upon and kept the bin for a few days. Since we were not sure if we would fit in all of the gravel, he mentioned that we can fill it right up to the brim and make it a little higher in the middle. 1 day after our phone call the bin was picked up. No need for us to take time off and stay at home. No damage, no additional charges afterwards. Everything went smoothly and the company was very professional and reliable. Great job, we can recommend them!

We hired Waterworks for some minor repairs, i.e. a sink that did not have water and a corroded valve. The first negative impression we had, was when they told us on the phone they charge $49.00 for a quote. We should have listened to our feeling... Although their plumber was nice and friendly and did a satisfying job, we felt ripped off. The parts surely did not cost more than $100 and the plumber was done within 1 hour. For this, they charged us $700! We will certainly not deal with them anymore and can't recommend them to anyone. If a company does not give you a free quote, they surely have a good reason... Update: Since Waterworks tried to question my credibility and have my review removed, I feel the need to be more precise. The cost for the parts were: 1 Aerator: $4.99 at Home Depot, 1 Ball Valve: $20.49 at Home Depot. There was only one worker (George) in our house and he was here 1 hour and 15 minutes. The "up front quote" actually happened at the spot, i.e. in our house after part of the work was done. For this, you charged $629.67 before tax. Although I appreciate your offer to "do something for me in the future" if I change my review, I do think other customers should be able to judge for themselves if this is a fair price and good practice.

We hired Mapleleaf for a partial upgrade of our electrical service from 60 to 100 Amp. Paul gave us a quote and explained everything we needed to know. He answered all our questions and appeared knowledgeable. Unlike other candidates, they were even willing to do this outside job in the cold of late January. On the day of the upgrade, they showed up on time and finished everything as scheduled. We had no problems leaving them alone in our home for most of the day since we had an important appointment. They cleaned up after themselves before they left and were careful not to let our cat escape when they opened the door. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. Just don't expect them to immediately return your call, since they are a small company and probably don't have a reception or someone who's only answering the calls. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and will certainly call them if we have another electrical job.
