We found Gala Kitchen & Baths through HomeStars. They renovated two of our bathrooms. One was a powder room: the sink and toilet were downsized, and a rain head shower put in. The whole room was tiled, including the floor which slanted toward a drain (no separated partition). A rail system shower curtain was put in, which tucks in nicely in the corner. The room has now a lot of space, with the shower being a subtle addition (it is nice to have a second shower in the house). The other was our main full bathroom. EVERYTHING was replaced and re-done, including a window replacement. This job was almost complete when there was an issue with the bathtub not being leveled. This meant removal of some of the tiles, and cutting a hole through the downstairs bathroom in order to lift and level the tub. In addition, there was a large gash in the tub which had been concealed prior to the re-leveling. Though this delay was not optimal, we were most impressed with Scott’s actions. He pro-actively moved forward with the repair without hesitation. Those repairs were also done very well. For example, the person he brought in to repair the gash in the tub was fantastic. Scott was very communicative and quick to respond i.e. my initial queries, and any questions that followed. He was also very communicative about timelines and scheduling: Scott and his team always ensured if it was OK to work on evenings, and weekends. Scott also communicated if visits were to be late, or had to be changed at the last minute. Scott also provided a detailed estimate prior to work, and asked thoughtful questions throughout his assessment. His estimate matched well with the actual costs. Scott was also well connected with respect to the retailers, and equipment and supply options. We would definitely use Gala Kitchen & Baths again, and recommend them highly.

I came to know Steven through a contractor doing bathroom renovations. There was a rather large gash at the bottom of our bathtub. Steven came in, spending about 4 hours to fix it and make the appearance as close to the original as possible. You can see from the photo he did a great job with it. Steven was courteous when we first met e.g. asking about wearing his shoes, and communicated what he would be doing. He cleaned up, walked me through the completed job, and provided good instructions on follow-up e.g. leave tape on, smell will clear in about an hour. I do realize Steven's expertise in in whirlpool and spa repair, but he would also be great for regular bathtub repair.

I found this company through Homestars. After giving them a call Paul responded and was able to book my appointment for the next week. Steve arrived right on time and informed me of the services and qualifications. His friendly, easy going nature was also welcome. He did a very thorough job - it really made me think how second rate the previous duct company we used was. I also quite appreciated the sanitization afterwards...thanks! Thanks very much also for the extra care cleaning up and the advice on things like vent felt to prevent large debris from entering the ducts. I will definitely call them up again and recommend them to our neighbours and friends.

The team at Sobol Inc was responsive, professional and efficient from the start. "Boss" Archiel came by the house and provided a detailed and accurate estimate of the job. As soon as the inventory arrived the appointment soon followed. The project was completed within 2 days. The professionals working on the job did an exceptional job - peformed it with focus and detail. In addition they were professional and also had a good sense of humour. Archie came back after the job to check on the work - I appreciated this "quality assurance" check. I have already recommended him to a friend and will do so again.
