I worked with William at ACI Architects to design a second storey addition to our home. It was an extremely positive experience that was not only fun but allowed me to learn a lot about my house and the ways it could be expanded to suit my family's needs. From our first meeting with William it was clear he is an expert in his field. He went out of his way to understand our needs and thoughts about how our home addition could work. William made himself available to answer any questions and was fantastic at keeping me up to date on the latest status of the design and building permit application. William addressed everything we wanted for of our home addition. The ultimate design was logical and realistic for our needs, and he went out of way to add unique elements which made the design absolutely incredible. He was able to do this because he went out of his way to make sure to understand our project, and create a design that reflected our tastes. Waterman is absolutely fantastic! I noticed one morning that sanitary waste in my house was backing up into my basement shower. I called Waterman and on the same day Jim came to my house to snake the drain and found that my sanitary pipe was cracked due to a tree root and needed repair. Jim fixed the blockage same day so we could use our bathroom and later the same week he and his team came back to replace the cracked pipe. Jim also recommended that a backwater valve be installed in the same location for flood prevention. He went over the entire scope of work and process to repair the drain, install the backwater valve, apply for a permit at the City, and submit a rebate for the backwater valve. Jim and his team were fantastic! This scope of work can be overwhelming, especially during a pandemic, but Jim and his team made me feel comfortable, they were professional and friendly, used tarps and mats to cover up my carpet and reduce dirt and dust, and most importantly did a thorough job. Thank you also to Chris who answered all my questions, followed up after the work was complete, and made sure I was updated on everything. I strongly recommend Waterman and would not hesitate to call them if I need anything!
