We hired Gerry and Cindy to design our main bathroom which badly needed a re-do. The two of them took us through the entire process from design to construction to follow-up in a seamless way and with minimal draw on our time. We particularly appreciated their suggestions and manner in which they steered us away from elements that we thought would work but which they avoided in our projects. We've been extremely pleased with the results and have recommended them to others in the neighborhood.

It would not be too harsh to label this outfit as a Groupon-based sham. After signing the contract for services, they never showed up despite repeated calls and emails when snow was actually accumulating. The IVR sounded professional but led to absolutely no service agents. Shortly after I signed up, they folded completely and have not been heard from since. If you run across any services being offered by one "Adam", run in the other direction. As far as I can tell, he's the author of this sham.

I am yet another victim of the MGS-Groupon sham. After paying the upcharges for the work, Mark showed up, did half the work before calling it a day because of high winds. No problem - he promised to come back the next business day. Never showed. All my entreaties via email, phone, text, Facebook, Twitter and now HomeStars - no response whatsoever. I had to touch up the work that was done already (way too many smudges and runoff left on the windows) plus clean and reinstall all of the screens that he unhelpfully left out so he could clean them in his return visit. Thanks for nothing! Avoid them like the plague. This is an illegitimate, fly-by-night operation that should be banned from offering discounts since they clearly cannot deliver on the volume. My suspicion is this is a one-man operation and that there is zero infrastructure/workforce behind it. Not a good combination for ensuring delivery of a service already paid for in advance.

Paul, Harold and their team did a terrific job on a challenging job. They encountered everything that an 80-year old home could throw at them in terms of surprises and dealt with it in a timely, cost-effective way all the while we were on vacation. Would absolutely recommend them.

Ari responded promptly to my need for service on shower faucet that was giving me any hot water. I had had it "fixed" twice by other plumbers (at a cost of $200 each trip) who had apparently missed the root problem - a $0.10 washer that had worn out. Ari figured it all out in less than 15 mins and proceeded to fix permanently after that. Great job.

I found Renaissance Painters, both the owner Jason and the painter Joe, to be a pleasure to deal with, and interested only in ensuring that everything was done to my satisfaction, which it was. Their suggestions on colors and types of paint were very helpful and the work was done on time, on budget. We definitely intend to use them again in the future.

Very quick turnaround from service request to showing up and fixing my tap. Price was fair and work was done well and explained properly. Thanks again for the efficient service. Will definitely use again.
