I placed an order for small desk that cost about $100 before tax. I selected the delivery to Whitby warehouse in order for me to pick up the desk from the warehouse instead of driving to Toronto store. Amazingly the order was jacked up by $20 for delivery charges which is about 20% of the desk cost. So the question is, why on earth IKEA has opened these warehouses across the city? Because I still I can drive to Toronto store and buy from there it will be cheaper.
