Last year, Ash was one of the few companies willing to entertain installing a humidifier in our utility room. Many other companies didn't respond, said it was impossible, or tried to upsell us on a more expensive humidifier before they would come. He was able to install and then also promptly came a few months later to replace the humidstat free of charge when it stopped working. So naturally this year when our HWT started to die, he was one of the first people we contacted. Ash was able to come that weekend to inspect the area and provided recommendations. He even spoke to the manufacturer of the water heaters to get their input on the most ideal unit and ended up suggesting a regular tankless unit for our house instead of the much more expensive combi-boilers that other companies defaulted to as the only option. We were then able to book an install later that week, the installers were friendly and professional, cleaned up afterwards, and answered all of my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ash and Fair Deal Heating, they certainly live up to their name!

Great experience replacing our garage door opener with Arjay. He responded quickly to our inquiry and had lots of good info and suggestions. He was also very patient with all of my questions and I never felt rushed. He was able to come next day and the job was done quickly at a competitive price. He identified a few other things with our garage door system that I might want to address in the future and also recommended against doing other things.

Our balcony doors and several windows were leaking snow/moisture in during the winter, so we asked multiple vendors to come take a look and provide suggestions and quotes. Michael and Amica stood out as he was very patient and responsive to all of our questions and concerns. During the walkthrough, he had some great suggestions on what to consider that would provide us with the best value. He also provided a written quote afterwards that detailed exactly the windows/doors/options based on our conversations. Scheduling the work was easy, and the installers were great. They cleaned up the work areas after they were done and also accommodated our pets. I would not hesitate to recommend Michael and team for anyone looking to get new doors and/or windows.

Came out same day after wind storm to put up temporary cover to prevent rain damage. Took some time sort out the details for the actual repair (due to unexpected circumstances out of people's control), but once figured out, they brought the materials and finished the actual repair in a timely manner. They were also able to take a look at another part of the house and were able to repair the flashing. After all of the work was completed, they were great about cleaning up.

Reached out to Odd Job a few weeks ago to inquire about repairing a closet door that did not fit nor close properly. Sent them pictures and they were able to respond with a quote in a timely manner. They were very patient in answering my questions and were able to fit me in based on my schedule. Sean came on time, and fixed our door to our satisfaction. I was also curious about the repair while he was here and he explained thoroughly what he was doing as the job went on. They were great, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else for any general home improvement needs.

Our house had a cracked window that we neglected to look at for a few months. When we finally wanted to replace/repair the window, most companies wouldn't give us the time of day for just 1 window. Windowfix responded quickly with a approximate quote and was able to come to the house within a couple days for an on-site appointment to measure. The replacement window took about half the time they estimated and they were, once again, able to schedule the follow-up appointment within a couple days to come in and replace. Once here, they worked efficiently and made sure everything was clean and perfect before they left. The whole job was done much quicker than I expected and it's great now to not have to look at the cracked window anymore! Thanks! They will be my first contact if I ever have any other window concerns.

We recently purchased a NG BBQ for our patio since there was a line already available (although capped). Keith responded promptly and was able to schedule an appointment next day for us. He was on time and worked efficiently to hook up the BBQ, add some rust-proof paint, and leak test. He patiently answered all of my questions and took a quick look at some other things around the house to make sure all was well. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to call him again for any future needs or recommend him to others.

Moved into our house in the summer and never had the opportunity to use the fireplace. We found Imran on Homestars to inspect our fireplace to make sure everything is good to go before the winter. He came over a couple days after making the initial call with all of the equipment he needed. Apparently it hasn't been cleaned in years, and it definitely showed after he was done with it. It looked brand new after he was done with it. We're very happy with his service. He was meticulous, patient with all our questions, and even moved things around and added more embers so when on, it looks even better than before. You can see that he definitely cares about his work. We will absolutely call Imran for our annual service from now on.

A small scheduling hiccup but once that was resolved, Daniel showed up on time, walked through the house with me and recommended the appropriate cleaning (Essential, as we still have boxes around). He then proceeded to do an amazing job within the quoted time. Everything looks spotless and we wouldn't hesitate to have Daniel back for regular cleaning!

I recently closed on a townhouse and was looking to get the locks rekeyed as soon as possible. After calling John, he was able to re-arrange his schedule and meet me the same day which was greatly appreciated. He arrived promptly and efficiently rekeyed the locks and cut new keys for me. He even took the initiative to get all of the locks to be consistent in the way the latch looks when the doors are locked. I would definitely recommend his services for anyone looking for a locksmith.

Vito arrived early, with all of the equipment he needed, and gave a quick overview of what he will be doing for the inspection. During the inspection, he would describe what he is doing and also point out anything that he noticed. For each item that he noticed, regardless of how small, he would have a recommendation on what was needed to be done and how soon we needed to do it by. I thought he was very thorough and I received a very detailed inspection report only a few hours after the inspection was completed. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody looking to get a home inspection.
