Alex and his team retrofitted our exterior French doors on three floors. The original wood doors were failing and not providing a proper seal against water and snow. After extensive research I decided on GTA Direct because their quote was reasonable, their timeline expeditious and their customer care exemplary. The installation team did a great job of installing a new frame for the new doors in an existing opening and ensured a tight seal against the elements. Care was taken with our home during the process through use of canvas drop cloths to protect floors and stairs. While there were some scratches to our floor and interior doorframe from the removal of existing retractable screens, these were able to be camouflaged with wood filler. The levelling and caulking of the doors was done professionally. From the beginning to the end of the project, communication with Alex (owner) was always timely and helpful. Overall, I’m am very pleased with the quality of the product and service. I would definitely recommend this company.

We had sewage backup rising in our basement floor drain and started to get worried that it would overflow. We talked to our neighbour and she recommended Express Rooter. I called them immediately (it was a Saturday) and within five minutes, I received a follow up call from Jason who coordinated with us to do an assessment the next day (Sunday). He arrived a bit early, with a courtesy call when he was on his way. Jason then put a camera scope down our pipes, checking for water flow and obstructions. He explained everything I was seeing and identified the problem: an outdated u-trap. He then outlined what the next steps were, gave us some practical tips for eliminating the odour and current backup and informed us of the City's rebate program that could offset the costs of the work to be done. We agreed to proceed, and the very next morning workers arrived and replaced the necessary pipes, installing a new backwater valve. Now I feel secure that we won't have any backup issues in the future. After the work was done and the inspector visited, Jason returned to explain and demonstrate the maintenance requirements, as well as to go over the rebate application form. Overall, Jason, the excavation team and Express Rooter were amazing! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I would most definitely recommend them!
