Had our roof and gutters installed about 8 years ago. No problems so far except one - one of the fascia started to rot as the end shingle (don't know to actual name of that thing) over the protruding end of fascia was a bit too short. The fascia itself was way older than our new roof. Called Dan, the owner. Exchanged a couple emails. He came in person to check the issue and a week later he sent a very nice guy Manny who fixed the problematic fascia. Happy to confirm - company indeed is staying behind their 10 years warranty. BTW, as per Manny, our roof still looks like new, so quality of materials (shingles) is also very good.

We had out carport converted to a recreational room a couple of years ago. Jim is the owner of Frontier Homes & Renovations who did the job for us. He is an amazing contractor who was always on time and who manage our project exactly as per agreed timetable. Quality of workmanship is amazing. Everything was done to code and on time. Never left any mess behind. His subcontractors had exactly the same attitude - fast, great quality workmanship and well mannered. Highly recommend this guy.

They did 1 project for us : installed exhaust pipe and few years later upgraded it to a different product. A while ago we changed from hot water tank to instant hot water tankless system. Big Valley Heating installed new exhaust pipe for the system. Did pretty good job at that time. All to the code for 2009 requirements. Few years later we did some renovations to our house and city inspector noticed the installed exhaust pipe was not matching the code for 2013 and requested to replace it. Big Valley Heating came within 3 days and replaced it at no cost to us (except labour charge). Every year we have somebody to come and inspect and maintain our hot water heating system boiler. Usually the fees for inspection are relatively low, but almost always they find something broken and replace it for big $$. This year we decided to call Big Valley. They charge a bit more, but! But they found there was nothing wrong with our system, but it was not properly maintained all these years - there was huge accumulation of dust, debris, etc. Nobody bothered to clean it despite charging us for "maintenance". I guess they were making huge money by charging us for replacing "broken" parts. Big Valley guy cleaned our system thoroughly, reassured us that all is in perfect working order. I am going to call them again next year. Good job, guys!

Scheduled appointment in 1 week to get a quote. Initially we wanted to go with one product, but after doing our research we changed our mind to VinylTech with 3E glass. (BTW, we had quotes from 5 companies and House Smart price was very competitive). Greg was kind enough to explain over and over again the difference in quality of the products chose and the difference in glass ratings. He always reassured that no matter what product we were going to chose - it will be backed by Home Smart lifetime warranty. It took about 8-9 weeks to have our windows manufactured and only 1 day to have them installed in our house. Installers were quick, professional and polite. I have not heard a single swear word from them! At the end of the day we made a walkthrough with Jason and he showed us how to operate the windows properly, checked the windows' quality, etc. The next day we received our instructions / final statement by email. So, overall it was quick, hassle-free, easy project for us. Why did I put 4 stars and not 5 for my satisfaction with the company? For 2 reasons: 1) I found 2 nails in the grass (one might thing - not a big deal, but my children run barefoot in the backyard, so it was kind of important to us) 2) they removed and put back the existing vertical blinds for our patio door . When the next day I tried to open the blinds they did not work properly. I called the office and they could send somebody only in 3-4 weeks to check on the issue. I managed the fix the problem myself (it was an easy fix). Again, not a big deal, but you might need to know. Overall: I would highly recommend this company and the product (VinylTek windows) as both are great! UPDATE: 6 months later. VinylTek windows installed by HouseSmart is an amazing product! They keep heat inside when it is cold and keep house cool when it is hot outside. I turned down all our thermostats as house is really, really warm now, during the winter time.

This company was a pleasure do deal with from beginning to end. Great thanks to Joanne the designer/drafter for spending time trying to find the perfect way to improve my not so perfect kitchen. The owner Rudy is very supportive and attentive. He would go over every detail, answer all the questions we had. They were fast, always on track, with great attention to details. It was very easy to communicate with Rudy. All the issues were addressed immediately. We (WE!) scratched our cabinet the very first week and he was kind enough sending one of his guys the next day (!) to make this scratch disappear - free of charge! I feel he is a guy who strives for perfection. Overall - we had no (zero) issues with this company. We had a number of renovation projects done in our house and none of them were completed on time and with no issues. Except one - cabinets done by JNR. It was easy as a breeze. Highly recommend this company. Off note: run into this company by pure accident and I am so happy that we did :-) PS: pictures posted of cabinets installed, but kitchen reno project still in process
