Needed repairs to a chimney that was deteriorating and the top of two brick walls that were falling apart. Selected three companies on based on HomeStars reviews and chose Magnacor based on the communication during the estimate phase and good pricing. I was very impressed with the professional work of Kavin, Carlton, and KJ. Carlton was very careful to avoid damage from chimney debris to neighbour's skylight which showed the attention to detail about doing a good job. Kavin kept me updated on the progress of work as well as any issues that might be of concern. Also had the opportunity to speak with Kavin about masonry and some other non-masonry subjects which was quite interesting. Definitely keeping Kavin and his team in my list of contractors to use in the future and recommend to friends.

Furnace originally installed by Cozy World about 7 years ago (my first review on HomeStars). The draft inducer motor failed in January 2023, the second time since installation (not the fault of Cozy World) and both times Cozy World were quick to respond and provided excellent service. During the last visit the technican showed me his troubleshooting steps which lead to the surprising conclusion the motor failed a second time (previously replaced in 2020) and the furnace started working again. Parts were covered under 10 year manufacturer warranty and only paid for one hour of labour. I continue to use Cozy for the annual furnace maintenance.

Just before November, the parents' 24 year old furnace failed and ended up being red tagged due to corrosion of the heat exchanger so scheduled appointments with several heating contractors for a new furnace. I ended up arranging visit from Cozy World due to all the positive reviews on HomeStars. Boris arrived on time and did a better inspection than other companies some who only did a sales presentation. Based on the quality of the visit, pricing and desire for Lennox (manufacturer selected based on predicated future availability of parts plus quality of construction, e.g. fully enclosed burner), we selected Cozy World. The appointment was originally set for several days wait but Boris was kind enough to move it up in consideration for the weather and my parents' age. Kam and his assistant did a nice job installing the furnace and left the area clean of all debris. Boris took care of the rebate and parents have been happy for past two months and commented on how quiet the two-stage unit has been operating. Normally I don't go to this effort for a review but felt proper credit was due for the great service received. Thanks.
