We hired Alex to tear down the existing basement left by the previous owner and rebuild from scratch. We were concerned with the things we couldn't see behind the walls and wanted to find someone with the experience to make things right. From the initial consultation, Alex's experience and attention to detail came through. Of all the other contractors we invited to provide quotes, Alex was the only one that spent over an hour walking through the basement with us, outlining the work that he'd do, and pointing out areas of concern, and the things likely hidden behind the walls that he'd need to fix. His quote was fair, with a detailed breakdown of the different costs. The other companies were in and out within 10 minutes. During the job, Alex arrived early every day, and made sure to leave a clean job site before he left. I appreciated the fact that he only does one job at a time, so that he can focus on providing great work without needing to jump to other jobs. After demolition, Alex was extremely transparent about the hidden issues that he was able to uncover, and was clearly able to explain the problems, and how to fix them rather than just covering them up, and moving on to the next job. As with any job, hiccups arise due to miscommunication, but Alex would consistently take the time to go back and address anything that happened. He always wanted to make sure we were happy, and went out of his way to do the little things to make our basement exactly the way we wanted it. He also took it upon himself to address things that we didn't see. Overall, I'd highly recommend Alex. His honestly, transparency and customer-focus made him a pleasure to work with.

I found Hometurf after comparison shopping. Their prices were very reasonable. Signed up for overseeding, and weed control and was impressed with their customer service. The weed spray doesn't usually catch everything, and after a quick call, they were always more than happy to come back and do a re-spray. I've signed up again this year, and looking forward to a green lawn.

Bought a new house and called Julian at the last minute to paint the upstairs bedrooms. Despite being fully booked, he came in on the Saturday before we moved in to paint a couple of the rooms so we could settle in. He came back the next week to finish off the job. As he was about to leave, he noticed that some of the patchwork was bleeding through the paint, despite putting on 3 coats. Without prompting, he and his team stayed an extra hour to put on an extra coat to the walls to make sure everything was consistent. Would definitely recommend him and make him my first call in the future.
