I called in a panic as our tank had blown out and we had water everywhere. The receptionist was wonderful, calmed my panic and said they would try and get someone out the same day, but couldn't guarantee it. Since every other place I called couldn't do anything for nearly a week I was more than happy to hear that. Fortunately James came and was able to help us. He quoted the price and then got to work. Unfortunately he forgot that we needed a different anode in the tank and the price did go up higher than the original quote, but since he already had the old tank disconnected I had no chioce but accept the increased price. Then when he left to get the anode required it was not in stock, so we will need another call to have it installed in the tank. I was a bit upset but didn't have a lot of choice. In spite of a difficult uninstall and and reinstall James did get us up and running with hot water again. I love that they have a senior discount because when you are trying to exist on a pension every little bit helps. The only real complaint I have with the company is the price quote was obviously not a guaranteed price. I would recommend them to friends, but at the same time tell the person to get the quote in writing not just on a tablet where it can be changed after you sign. October 30. When I hadn't heard from them about the installation of the rod, I contacted their office. Hannah was great and looked into it and booked an appointment for this morning. Logan and Austin were here promptly at 9 am and installed the new rod. They checked the dent in the tank and said that it was not an issue that it sometimes happens in the factory, but the tank will still work properly. After some discussion about the original quote and the extra cost of the rod, they agreed to stand by the original quote and not charge for the rod installation. As a result I am adding an extra point for satisfaction. I would still recommend them to friends, but with the same condition to make sure that the quote is correct before agreeing to the work.

Wow that time of year again and believe me our gutters were clogged again. We have been customers for a few years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else but Moe and his crew to come and clean them out. If you want someone reliable and reasonably priced, who returns your calls promptly and does an amazing job, then you need to call The Gutter Patrol. They even go so far as to show you pictures of the cleaned eavestrough to get your approval. They are more than deserving of the 10 we continue to give them, and believe me I do not give 10s unless they are earned. We will see you again next year Moe.

I would highly recommend Moe and his crew. They came out and cleaned gutters that were so clogged they probably wouldn't have drained with the slightest rain fall, never mind that storm we had on Saturday. They also checked everything to make sure that we wouldn't have a problem in the future and replaced an elbow that I had damaged last year. Thank you Gutter Patrol for a great job. You are more than deserving of 10 stars and believe me, I don't give praise lightly.

I wish I could give them a 10 but that is just not possible. Funny how at first, they were johnnie on the spot with their emails and phone calls. Now it is a different story. A few problems occurred and they were out to fix the two leaks in the new shower within a couple of days. They even came out to fix the floor twice, but that was all within 2 weeks of the job being completed. On July 17, I email them with pictures after the second time they tried to fix the floor, to show them that nothing had changed, and was told that they would check with the guys and see what could be done. Two weeks later when I had not heard from them, I sent another email to ask if their silence meant that they had no idea what to do to fix it. Their reply (and I quote) “I would like to have one of the guys get back in there an remove those couple pieces of vinyl in front of the shower, and replace some of the subfloor, and re lay the vinyl. I believe this to be a final answer/fix to the problem, and then re silicone in front. I unfortunately am one of the ones leaving on holidays as of Tuesday next week. Corrine and Kelsey are aware of what should be done here, and we will try to get this addressed next week. I will be working on putting together a schedule for next week, and will let you know where I think we can get you in.” I received that email August 1 and responded that I would make sure I stayed home all week and to just let me know if and when. Well guess what…next week has come and gone and once again there has been total silence on their part, and again a second week with not a word from them (today is August 15). I guess they think that being retired seniors we don’t have to be anywhere important so can stay home waiting for weeks on end, but a quick phone call to say “sorry we can’t fit you in this week or next” would have been nice. I was a fool and believed Wayne when he assured me several times that “they were there for us”. I was fool enough to pay them in full for the job, because I believed they would come and fix any issues we had. I do love the new shower even though I can’t easily reach the shower head to adjust it because they put it too high, but this is a minor irritation that I can live with. Even the fact that I had to put the screws into the door frame wasn’t a concern to me. I can also live with the fact that they did not put the “MATCHING VINYL PLANK BASEBOARD WITH MDF BUILD UP & CHROME SCHLUTER EDGING” but only put the plank baseboard up with silicone. They offered to do it right or give us a $35 refund. I took the refund (obviously a good decision) because I figured it would be easier to just live with it the way it was rather than have them come in and rip it all apart to do it properly. The job itself was done quickly and efficiently so I have no complaints there, it is the lack of follow up to fix the mistakes that they made while doing the job that has me frustrated. I have always tried to support local business rather than the larger national businesses, because I believed them to be more considerate and caring. I guess I have to lower my expectations after this.

I wish I could say they are wonderful, but unfortunately I can't. They came in to do a winter tune up on our furnace and we ended up having to purchase a new furnace because the part that broke would take a couple of weeks to get here if it came at all, (their words). November 1 the coldest night of the winter so far and we had no heat and a furnace in pieces. $5000 later after they gave us a special price and a great deal according to Derek, we now have a new furnace. Sure they came and installed the new furnace the next day and we were sure told they were sorry a lot. Unfortunately Chris who initially came to do the furnace tune up and left saying he would be right back, never had the balls to come back and tell us himself that there was a problem, but had Derek (their salesman) phone and tell us we needed a new furnace because the $500 part would have to be ordered and would take at least a week or two to come in, that is if the correct part actually did come in as that has happened before (no guarantees). My husband is 74 and has had a stroke so there was no way we could possibly go even 2 or 3 days without heat, so we were caught between a rock and a hard place. The funny thing is our old furnace had been running perfectly for the last 12 years until they came to do the winter tune up. The gentleman who actually came to install the new furnace was very nice and kept telling us how sorry he was about everything. Oh and our daughter had her tune up done on November 1 by Western Sky and last night, not even two weeks later, her furnace stopped working. She had to call out Atco Gas to help her and was told that it was the pressure switch that stopped working. Her family went without heat last night because of the pressure switch that Western Sky said is not a part they check as part of their winter tune up. Funny but another company does include checking the pressure switch as part of their 28 point tune up. I guess I know where we will be going from now on and it won't be Western Sky Mechanical. Now Western Sky is telling her Atco was wrong and it is the circuit board and is a $500 part (strange coincidence that is would cost the same as my broken part), and she would probably be better off getting a new furnace. If anyone is thinking of having a winter tune up, I would recommend that they think twice about it. Maybe it is just coincidence that a 13 year old furnace would need replacing as well as my daughter's 11 year old furnace after the winter tune up, and that the part in both cases would happen to cost $500 which would make much more sense to purchase a new furnace instead of replacing the part. I find it hard to believe in coincidences.

Great Job. We knew what we needed done when we called and Paul came out gave us an estimate and didn't try and talk us into any unneeded work. They were prompt and courteous and did an amazing job. Jacqueline was right on with the email giving us all the information we requested. We would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done. Thank You Paul and company.
