The house is an 1840s Georgian-style farmhouse with an original fieldstone basement. The home inspection showed that there was significant head loss specifically where the fieldstone met the wooden beams. I originally considered spray foaming the entire basement, however, was advised that the headers might be enough. Great Northern Insulation came in and completed the job efficiently and effectively and the results were incredible. What a difference!

This was a unique job replacing all of the windows in an 1840s home, plus installing storm doors. All of the sizes were custom and each of the people I interacted with were knowledgeable and professional. The job was completed within the budget provided and in less time than originally anticipated. The quality of the product was excellent.

I undertook substantial bathroom renos: moving a washer and dryer out of the main floor bathroom to the basement, installing a shower/tub combo instead; removing an old tub upstairs to install a standalone shower and clawfoot tub; and finally removing a vinyl insert from a third shower to install tile and a glass door. Brad and team not only did everything they could to complete the renos as quickly as possible to reduce inconvenience, but Brad also identified some issues with the plumbing systems that greatly improved the flow of water, the efficiency, hot water, etc. He and his team were friendly, professional, and included me in the process every step of the way. I would definitely use Guardian Plumbing again in the future.

I wanted a reliable home inspector, so I requested someone from the Mike Holmes team. They recommended the extended version because the house was quite old. I was very happy with the inspector, Andrew Dixon. He took his time and showed us his findings as we reviewed the exterior and interior of the home. He gave us peace of mind that there were no "dealbreakers", however, we did go back to the owner before finalizing the purchase to request a few repairs/upgrades based on the report we received. The report was very thorough and included photos of all of the issues found. Most of these are regular maintenance and some are upgrades based on current building code. We felt after the inspection that the home was sound and that we were able to handle the maintenance involved. It was an extremely informative experience and Andrew was very knowledgeable!

We had a maple in the backyard that was split into three, right down to almost the bottom. I called Brooklin Tree Care to see if it could be saved and Eric informed me that it could not. In fact, he couldn't believe it hadn't fallen on its own and was very concerned for the potential damage it could do. He fit us into his schedule the next week in and despite many complications stuck to his cost estimate and successfully removed the tree. It gave us great peace of mind and they were extremely knowledgeable and professional!

I called to see if I could have the bubbles in the carpet upstairs fixed and sent some photos for a quote. They came out within a week of asking for an appointment and were able to fix the carpet in a couple of hours. It looks great!

I tried everything to get rid of a horrible water hammer (banging pipes) particularly when the laundry machine was operating. Nothing worked...I received a recommendation from a coworker to try Hayes and was elated when they were able to fix the problem! I would use them again for any plumbing repairs or renovations!

I had Double Diamond come to our old house to clean the ducts and they did a great job, showing us the before and after, and explaining the process thoroughly. I decided to have them come back to clean our new house as well. They were just as professional and informative. They showed us the dirt and large items that were found in our ducts (trim, insulation, etc.) and recommended cleaning the 28 year old furnace and fogging the ducts to sterilize them of mold and allergens. I didn't even know this was possible. We have dogs and babies in the house and this recommendation was very welcome. I am completely satisfied with the work they did and would have them come back again!

4 Seasons was very professional and performed the installation in a timely manner. They cleaned up the area afterwards, making sure there were no old pieces of metal or nails, etc. The old white eavestrough looked very old and dirty. For the new ones, they recommended a colour to match our bay window and it looks fantastic. We are in an area with lots of trees and a very high roof, the leaf guard will ensure we don't have any issues with clogging or ice build up. Overall very happy with 4 Seasons!
