After debating what to do about repainting my staircase and upstairs halls, I trundled thru Homestars and rang up Andrew Sharpe to get a qoute. He passed by, assessed the work and gave me a written qoute. I had gotten a few qoutes by this point, and had also debated purchasing an expensive articulated ladder to do the job myself. After a ponder of a day or two, I rang Andrew back and gave him the job. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! Quality work, with absolutely no runs, drops, messes or ceiling bumps. That and the work was done exactly on time, and my home was left spotlessly clean. I'd certainly recommend Andrew Sharpe to anyone requiring paint work in their homes! Like most Canadians last year, I signed on and took advantage of the EcoEnergy program to obtain rebates on various home upgrades. One of the things the auditor recommended was an increase in attic insulation from the builder's minimalist R24 to at least R50. After having some rather bad home improvement contractor experiences, I was overwhelmingly happy with the work performed by Affordable Insulation. Jason came out to my home, inspected my attic, and explained in detail what was required and the exact cost. He was also kind enough to answer additional questions on the telephone at two later dates before I hired them. The crew and Jason's father Syd arrived at my home on time, began their work promptly and took great care to leave my home clean and tidy. The Actual Invoice was exactly the estimate, no hidden suprises, headaches or heartaches. The difference in my furnace runtime, as well as natural gas and hydro consumption is dramatic. Money very well spent in my opinion, not to mention the rebate when I cash out of the energy program. In conclusion, Jason , Syd and the crew did a great job, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing insulation upgrades and repairs~! Thanks Guys!
