Burke was recommended to me by Cloverdale Paint and Paper in North Vancouver. Burke arrived on time to do the job. He was very careful to cover everything and tape everything off. He was careful with the fumes in the house. he had a very good eye for colour and design and gave great advice. His prices were lower than local painters. He was careful to repair the walls before he painted and is an excellent and experienced painter. I am thrilled with Burke and the job he did.

I consulted with Astrid to help me chose paint colours for my new home. She came with her colour fan and interviewed me as to my likes and dislikes. She spent ample time with me to determine my preferences. She came up with a colour board and a 20% discount card for any paint purchases at the Benjamin Moore. I purchased the paint colours that she suggested and I was thrilled with the results. The tones seemed to work monochromatically with my furniture.

I wish I could remember this lovely man's name!! He came to examine my boiler and estimate on the approximate cost of fixing it. His sticker was on the boiler from previous homeowner. He went beyond the call of duty to accommodate my sense of urgency by immediately driving to the plumbing store to buy the parts that were necessary to do the job that day. The job was done thoroughly and he did even more - he cleaned the boiler and pump and drained the air out of the system for no extra cost.

I was impressed with Speedy from the initial quote because they came in less than anybody else. I was confidant that they were reliable and they guaranteed their price. Installation was painless and I was thrilled with the quality of the new windows. They were very clean on the job and cleaned up well after themselves.

The blinds installed by Blind Ambition looked good and the installation was painless. Within four months the pulls didn't work. They wouldn't do anything. i contacted the proprietor, Rob to come and fix them. He was out of town and said that he would call me when he returned but never has. I am annoyed and would like to have some follow up.

matt did a building inspection when i bought a new house. he was very personable and nice to work with. he delivered the inspection on time. he had been recommended to me by numerous friends and neighbours and seems very busy on the north shore. at the time i thought the inspection was thorough but within two months of buying the house i had some surprises that i feel he could have given me the heads up on. i am left wondering what the home inspector is responsible for and if there is any legal recourse. i have moisture and mold on the windows and feel that this should have been picked up on.

econo moved us and when the job was done billed me double what the original quote was. the move went smoothly - there were no mishaps and the workers worked hard. when i questioned the bill at the end of the day, the guy that wrote it up was unpleasant and i was worried and felt uncomfortable. when i called the office, the owner was rude and unaccomodating. i threatened to call the bbb. he called me later and made some concessions about the final price. i would never recommend them.

our furnace broke down and we were left without heat in january. b.c. furnace was called to do the job. they came quickly to quote on the job and were extremely thorough in their price quoting and determining which product would be best and figuring out which product would fit in our heritage home. they had to change the ducting and were very considerate about our time schedule. when i asked if they could install any earlier than the date promised they rearranged the installer's schedule to bring heat to our house. thank you b.c. furnace!

a shade better installed hunter douglas blinds in our house. from the moment i called them to come in and quote they were very helpful. they offered advice on choosing the best product to achieve the look i was after for my windows. they also came in with a very competitive price, even less than budget blinds. the products was installed in a timely and clean fashion. the installer was on time, worked quickly and took his garbage away with him. the blinds look great.
