Dealing with this company was an exercise in frustration. My parents who are in their 80s signed a contract to have their driveway paved in April. After calling the company in May and being told that their driveway would be done in a "couple of weeks" there was no word from the company into June. After calling them numerous times and not receiving a reply, the company eventually responded to my emails in July at which point they began the job but indicated they would need to wait for the driveway to settle and would be out 6 weeks later to complete the job. After 6 weeks again no word from the company and no responses to calls for an update. The job was completed on Sept 20, five months from the time the contract was signed. Reasons provided for the delays were excess rain and illness of workers. Those reasons may have been acceptable, however the company was not proactive in keeping us updated on the status and even worse they did not respond to requests for updates requiring us to follow up numerous times which should not have been required. The lack of respect for senior customers was appalling. The paving job itself appears to be good but time will tell. They also left quite a mess on the road and the sidewalk and burned spots on both my parents lawn and the neighbours lawn. Their response was that the grass will grow back and that the mess will be cleaned up through the winter weather. While that may be true it is no excuse for a sloppy job. Based on the good reviews on here this job was a huge disappointment. Pictures of the mess on the road and the sidewalk are attached.

I used this company to improve the storage solutions in my garage. Brett the owner was friendly and accommodating. We went with the Monkey Bar Storage solution which has worked out great.

After a bad experience with The Gardener last year, my experience with home turf has been awesome. They have delivered on everything that said that they would deliver on and when I noted that the weed control did not seem to be working perfectly then sent someone out to work, and they delivered. They have left nice summaries after each visit informing of what has been done and what I should be doing to ensure I maximize the benefits of this treatment. The lawn has never looked better.

There was a build up of ice in our freezer and after talking to Rick on on the phone his guess was that it was a blocked drain. Once he came out and took a look at it he confirmed a blocked drain, he cleared the drain, steamed the excess ice away to ensure the problem was resolved. He also addressed a poorly closing freezer door by detaching it and setting it up properly. He also adjusted the levelling of the fridge in order for the cupboards above to open properly. While he was here we had him look at our Washing Machine was smelling moldy. He not only cleaned the drain but showed us how to properly do this in order to address this in the future. He was friendly, prompt, thorough and did a great job

After buying a new Natural Gas BBQ for the first time ,having used Propane all my life I was a bit reluctant to hook up the BBQ to the existing gas line. I figured it would be a relatively easy job but wanted the comfort of knowing that it was done right. After trying a few different companies and getting no response I came across GasGuys on Homestars. My call was answered right away, George who answered was straightforward and quoted me a fair price. We made an appointment and on the day of the appointment he called to let me know he was running 15 minutes late which was very much appreciated. When he arrived he was professional, clean and got the job right and even went over and above in helping me move my old BBQ. I would highly recommend using this company.

I had a few plumbing items that needed attention and after reviewing HomeStars I contact two companies to review the work that needed to be done. Frank from Mr Rooter came out to review the work required and gave me a great explanation of the work that should be done. The pricing was well below the other companies quote and the work as he explained it was more realistic. After giving him the go ahead he worked efficiently and cleanly and went over and above expectations. I would not hesitate to use this company again.
