We had our ducts cleaned after moving into a new house. Clearly, it had been a very long time since the previous owners had done so! The fellows showed up on time and did a very thorough job, taking before and after pictures and letting me take my own as well. They worked quickly and professionally and left the house very clean.

I had the fellows from Public Plumbing rough-in my planned basement bathroom. My sister had used them for a job in her basement - essentially fixing someone else's mistakes, and had highly recommended them. I had three highly rated contractors come in to quote, and while I would have been happy to have hired any of them, the personal reference and the very reasonable price tipped my decision in Public's favour. From the start, they were comprehensive and detailed when they came in for the quote, reassuring me that they would not be satisfied until I was happy with the job. Indeed, they were very easy to get a hold of if I had questions and promptly returned any messages I left with them. The entire job took two days - the second day being quite long due to some of the peculiarities of my basement. As soon as the crew entered my house, they took care to protect any surfaces that could be damaged and when they left, there was no evidence of them being there beyond the work itself, which was excellent. The work included breaking the concrete slab, ripping out the old clay drainpipes that were there, replacing them, roughing in for a toilet, shower stall, sink, laundry sink and washing machine, then running the hot and cold supply (PEX) and hooking everything up to the vent. I couldn't be more pleased. The concrete work was smooth and solid (unlike previous work I had done by another contractor - review to follow!), everything was exactly where I'd requested it and the whole job looks very neat and tidy. I hired Reco Concrete to rebuild the walkway that extended from my backyard along the side of my house, across the front of my house, then running along the driveway to the street. There was an old, crumbling walkway there so rather than bust that up and take it all away, the new walk way formed to be two inches wider on each side and higher, effectively encasing the old cement, then a new section was dug in the front yard to carry the original run further from my front step down to join the city sidewalk in front of the house. The crew was friendly and punctual and the job was finished on time. The work was, as someone else here mentioned, good quality, old school cement work. I was very pleased with the finished product and would happily recommend Reco Concrete to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, quality job done by an experienced, honest contractor.

In short, we woke up day to water seeping in at the corner of our house underneath a flat section of the roof. I call Mr. Roof Repair and JP was dispatched to our home in Etobicoke. The service was explained very thoroughly - what I should expect and exactly how much it would cost. JP arrived in under an hour and was up on the roof in no time. He found numerous scratches and holes in the flat section of our roof which is about 5 feet wide by 45 feet long. He took pictures of everything he did and in no time, had done an excellent repair job. He made it very clear that this was a temporary repair, and that I should get this section of the roof redone at some point. He gave me the option to forgo the repair until I got a quote to redo the roof, but I opted to have the repair done for now. I was very satisfied with the work. A very comprehensive array of photos was posted online for my reference and when I popped up on the roof to have a look for myself, I noticed that JP had also put some extra sealant on some of the roof vents on the sloped section of the roof - over and above!
