There are 4 things that stood out for me with this company beyond simply installing the gas line. - They were the only company to not give me any hassle to get an exact quote. I wanted a close as possible total cost and everyone else seemed too busy to even listen to me on the phone much less come down. Not trying to be prissy because I get when you have too much business, sometimes you just don't have the time. At the very least some companies were plain enough to say so. - They had the cheapest quote (as far as I know, since only one other company came by to see the job). - They cleaned up very well. They had to break a hole in my basement ceiling (fine by me) but the clean up they did was well done (as good as contractor cleanups go). - They were early. Damn. I need just a bit more sleep but all worked out well. Overall, they did the job well and answered any questions I had. They worked quickly but did not rush. Not sure what else to say but it was a great job.

Simply put, Fabiano is best! He was always easy to get a hold of and replied to messages in a timely manner. Even AFTER the job, I still got quick replies from him. His work is superb and he always responded well to any issues I had. We have two toddlers and he was also very understanding and accommodating. All of our rooms were on the same floor with the construction. He cleaned up very well every evening. Myself and my wife are very particular about dust and having it tracked about the house. I even had another contractor (who doesn't know him) comment on his prices as quite fair and reasonable. I have already recommended him to a couple people. On top of everything else, he is just a great guy to deal with. He gives you "service with a smile" and we felt very comfortable speaking to him and having him around. As with any job (in my experience) there were issues or misunderstandings in how things were described and how they came out but discussing and coming to a happy solution with Fabiano was always "easy as pie". We worked out an arrangement where Fabiano handled the labour and construction materials and I would handle the decor materials, vanity, tub etc. But on my end I was not able to deliver the vanity and some other items in time with the schedule. Fabiano again was accommodating and found ways to work around it. I took a chance on him because he didn't have very many reviews. I can tell you right now, don't worry. He will get the job done and it will be amazing. You have no idea how happy we are with our new bathroom and we would definitely use Fabiano again.

Other than the weather delaying things, everything went smoothly with these guys. They are very good at communicating and getting back to you quickly. Very understanding with questions, concerns etc. Phil was great to deal with from start to finish. Wish I could say more but everything was done so quickly from start to finish, it was like they were barely there (good thing). Their price was also the best of all the quotes I got. Definitely would recommend!!

Sam from Spring Home was with me from Sale to Completion of the job. I have many many back and forth emails with Sam on advice and questions galore. He was very responsive and great to deal with. On the day of the install (I had taken the day off), it began to rain heavily. I was very worried about having to take another day off but the installers stuck around for a couple hours until the rain stopped and completed the install. I was VERY appreciative of this. They did an excellent job and cleaned up all the mess afterward. I would definitely recommend them again!

Kiya has been doing electrical work on our home since we bought it 8 years ago. He is my goto guy for electrical. As usual his price is fair and his work is well done. He does his work so well that I wanted to leave a review as great as the first but I have been too busy. So understand that this short review is small compared to how great a guy he is. Another Electrical contractor on this site was very rude to me when responding to a quote request and I left him a review on Google and Homestars (they did not post it). So he made a false report that the work on my home had no permit and I was doing the work myself. You can believe how upset I was when I got a letter stating that I was going to be fined for this!!! I called Kiya right away and Kiya was quick and responsive to help me out. He sent me everything I needed to prove beyond any doubt that everything was done properly and offered to call the ESA as well if needed. Kiya is the best and I would always recommend him over and over. You cannot go wrong!

Brock windows did an excellent job replacing all the windows our home. We chose them because of their NorthStar windows and reviews of their quality installs. The Northstar windows looked better and seemed to be more solid in construction than any of the other windows we looked at. The only issue we had was with the salesperson. Initially we just wanted to get a "feel" for the cost and get estimates and we told that to the sales guy when he came in January (their slow time). Yet we never got the quote that the sales person was supposed to send us. When we finally decided to go ahead a couple months later and called them again, we got the same sales guy. He couldn't find any info on us or his quote from his previous visit. If it wasn't for the good reviews, we would have not called them back. The other issue is that we had 2 AC units in the windows and I specifically mentioned them to the salesperson that I could not move them (I am small and cannot lift a 12000BTU AC on my own). He assured me they would take care of it. Apparently he was supposed to note it on the order receipt with all the other details. This is was not done and installers would not touch it until they got the go ahead from the sales guy. Brock was going to charge extra to have them move and I had to call and argue with them before they gave the go ahead without charging extra. On the flip side, the installers were amazing. They did an excellent job. They were fast and clean and their workmanship was immaculate. I did my research on what should be done when installing windows and they did things correctly and worked quite fast. They also did an excellent cleanup afterwards. There were a couple issues with some bent window screens but they came back and replaced them without fuss. The installers are the only reason this review is a 9 and I gladly overlook any issues with sales. And when it comes to windows, the install is as important as the window itself. I would definitely consider Brock again in the future but I would make sure anything discussed is put down in writing when making any order and before signing anything.

Demetris is definitely a unique contractor. I have not met any contractor like him before. He is very down to earth, friendly, relaxed and honest. He is very easy to talk to and always answered my million and one questions. The job he did looks amazing and our floors are like new now. Even though it is best to refinish all of a wood floor at the same time (as opposed to per room or in sections), we had a room that had to be done after the rest of the house. Amazingly, even though it is one continuous floor from hallway to room, you cannot even see the line where the first refinish meets the second. Demetris and his guys are quite skilled. At the same time we were having the floors done, we were also having new trim put in and the house painted. They took great care with everything and there were no messes on any trim or anywhere else. I also wanted to refinish my staircase and do it myself to save money. Although Demetris gave me a quote, he still gladly helped me out with advice and answering any questions I had during the project. When he came to work on the floors, he even inspected it and gave me pointers. The project came out very nicely but it would not have been so without his advice. I have to say though, it was a difficult job and given the chance again, I would hire Demetris to do it. The price was more than reasonable for the work. Demetris and his guys have the skill and most importantly are contractors you can trust to do a great job. We are definitely keeping him as our floor guy for future projects and future homes.

Our walls were quite a mess and Kevin and his Brothers were an excellent find for us. Our home is now like the “Before and After” for a Home Reno show. It is transformed and looks so new and bright. These guys will always be our first choice. You should hire them without reservation. Even given all the usual reno pains and issues, my wife and I do dearly miss them. The work they did was superb and they were even great company to have around. That is my short review, but there is so much more, please read on. The first meeting with Kevin was great. He was personable, very likeable and struck us as straightforward and honest. Normally we would be on-guard for someone that seemed too nice (you never know if the work matches the personality) but we are glad we went with him and his brothers. Our walls had wallpaper all over and on removal, it left a mess of glue and paint on the walls (pictures to be uploaded soon) with some cracks that were hidden as well. Most of the contractors we brought in balked at the task. Kevin did note to us the scale of the task but took it in stride. We only wanted painting and plastering done at first. We asked Kevin how well the end result would look considering our old worn baseboards. Kevin detailed various options for us at various price points. He also clearly explained what level of finish to expect with each budget choice and how it would work if we wanted to break it down into separate projects. It was a lot of info but we were very happy with his explanations and descriptions. Kevin gave us a well written detailed quote with a cost breakdown. In the end we wanted the best look and we replaced all the trim and baseboards as Kevin suggested. We were not disappointed and the house looks amazing and bright now. During the whole process we consulted with Kevin on everything from quality paints, colours, the plaster finish, wood and suppliers for the trim. He is an excellent source of advice and we pretty much went with all of his suggestions. At the same time, we decided to also have our floors refinished and we had already chosen a floor contractor. Kevin was EXTREMELY accommodating with the floor contractors’ requests for protection and cure times. I also wanted to put down some vinyl flooring in another area and Kevin gave me a quote if I wanted his team to do it. I decided to handle it myself though. Kevin was still helpful and willingly gave advice and a hand or two. Please READ THIS PART. One of the best parts of choosing ”The Moore Bros” are the brothers but the other good part are the sub contractors they work with. Kevin uses other contractors that he trusts and they always have good things to say about him and are quite loyal to him. His Plastering guy is PHENOMENAL. Kevin also organized people to do an archway, crown molding and move some electrical outlets. He took care of the details. The costs were upfront and reasonable. Their work was well up to the same standard as Kevins and I would definitely use them in the future as needed. As with most big projects, things change, problems happen, additions are made etc. We ran into all these issues as well. We all kept track of all that was asked for or changed and there were many emails with lots of details. In the end, we did have some disagreement over some costs but with some discussion; Kevin did work things out to keep us happy. In the end of it all, the Moore Brothers (and the people they sub-contract) are all “good guys”. You can definitely trust them to do the right thing. From the small to higher end budgets, Kevin can help you find a beautiful end result to your project. Just give him a chance (with your budget constraints in mind though). His advice and suggestions were very helpful and the people he works with are excellent as well. We hope to see them again someday and will definitely hire them again. Also if a certain famous TV show is still considering having them on, I’ll gladly vouch for them.
