This is the 2nd time Silvervack Electric has done work for us. Today was installing smart switches to work with Amazon Alexa and replace a light fixture. I am very pleased with the work and the reasonable price charged. I can see why they have been the Best Of Homestars 4 straight years. I would have no hesitation recommending this company.

Whenever I am looking for a contractor for home repairs or improvements, I turn to Homestars. When planning a major kitchen and bathroom renovation, I noticed the high marks past customers gave Your Reno Crew. We are so glad we chose this company, owned and operated by Gary Ward. The work involved gutting the old kitchen and bathroom, and making the new ones adapted for my life in a wheelchair. I now have a kitchen that is perfect for my needs, with a lowered work area countertop, and many features to make my life easier. The bathroom now has a open vanity that I can pull my wheelchair under to use the sink. I can’t imagine doing this without Gary guiding and controlling the entire process. At times it seemed like coordinating all the subtrades (drywallers, electricians, flooring installers, cabinet installers, and painters) was a little like herding cats. Gary managed all of this with seeming ease. We know of others who have attempted to do all of that on their own, to disastrous results. Believe me, Gary was worth every penny that we paid him and then some. In fact, he actually saved us money on several items, by passing on his contractor prices for things like the sinks and faucets, flooring, etc. If you are planning any home renovations, you would be very well served to call Gary at Your Reno Crew.

I just had Aaron out to fix a faulty outdoor outlet. It turns out that the electrician who installed it 5 years ago had done a very poor job. Aaron fixed everything quickly and efficiently and his bill was extremely reasonable. I see why he has been the Homestars Best of Vancouver three Times. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical services.

I called Freeflo based on the reviews I read on Homestars, and was certainly not disappointed. We had a different company out a year or so ago, and I just didn't get the impression they really knew what they were doing. Freeflo's service was the exact opposite. He explained what he was doing, and worked quickly. I would not hesitate to use this company again, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Last year Centra Windows replaced our front door and did a beautiful job, both in the materials and the installation. We decided that they would be the company to go to when it was time to replace the windows. That time came. Yesterady two crews (Brendan P., Al S., Kyle H., Dave J., Glen R., and Shawn MacD., arrived on what would be the rainiest day we've had in a long time, but that did not slow them down. In total we had 12 windows replaced, including two very large ones, and two oddly shaped ones. Watching them work, I was amazed at the level of detail they went to to ensure that everything was done properly. (Lots of sealant, tyvek instead of tar paper, etc.) Despite the fowl weather, they cleaned everything up so that the house looks like they had never been here. (Truth be known, I think they left it cleaner than when they arrived!) Sometimes it's the little things that let you know you are dealing with a company that is cares about it's customers. I happened to go into the bathroom right after one of the crew members came out. It was obvious that he had sprayed the room with the bottle of Fabreeze that was on the counter. Last year when I first went to Centra for the door, I had looked at the reviews on here first. Take a look for yourself and see the number of 10-point reviews they have, as compared to the next closest on the list. That says it all.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship provided by Westmount Heating. I chose them because of their ratings here on Homestars, and fully concur with the other comments. They arrived promptly on schedule, worked diligently installing my new furnace, and improved the efficiency of my existing heat pump. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing a new furnace or service.

When we had the wheelchair ramp built we coated it with a product from a home improvement store. That did not last long and did not provide very good traction. We decided on Newport Dry Deck because of the product samples and their guarantee. We couldn't be happier with the results.
